Owner description: Roughly translated as "the snorter," this underwater cave regularly sucks in sea water and spits it out the cave's top drenching visitors to the site.

Apart from a wonderful natural sight to see, walking the gauntlet of hawkers trying to sell everything that is cheaply made draws away from the natural reason of seeing La Bufadora, if they would only limit the number of hawkers it would be nicer

really great! nice scenic drive outside of Ensenada. La Bufadora is great to see, and the shops on the road leading to La Bufadora are fun to browse. I suggest getting a Piña Colada with rum while you walk around.

This could be a half day trip from Ensenada, easily.

Walk down a pedestrian street lined with shops and food outlets to La Bufadora, said to be the largest blow hole in the world. Many tourists. Visiting once in a lifetime is enough. On the day of my visit, my patience with touts was not high. Walking to La Bufadora, you are offered samples of pina coladas and other foods and drinks in hopes you'll find the sample so delicous, you'll make a purchase. For those who enjoying shopping for bags, scarves, jewelery, 925 silver, vanilla, dresses, t shirts and other tourist "must haves," this is the shopping place for you. US dollars readily accepted. Charge to use most restrooms. The drive from Ensenada takes you through beautiful countryside, once you get past the Walmart, Starbucks, Costco, Applebees shopping areas just outside of town.

Great blow hole my daughter enjoyed it. We were ther by 12nn and we were told that its high tide and waves doesn't get that high. they told us that the best time to go there is early morning or late afternoon when its low tide...there is a market place which is full of cool stuff and the churros, fish and beef tacos are awesome!

La Bufadora is basically a huge blow hole in the ocean. Essentially, the waves crash against the rocks, and the water sprays really high through a hole. It's something cool to see, especially if you have kids. But don't have too big of expectations, because that's really all there is to it. The waves crash and the water sprays up high -- that's all. If you're into that sort of thing, then definitely check it out . . .
