Try the barbecue sunset at the beach! Awsome! One of the most Thailand's beutiful beach! Not so polluted yet, and much more quiet than Railey beach.

“Nice scenic area worth a day trip”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

There are many tours here,so choose carefully, what you want included,kayaking/swimming/snorkeling/long tail boat etc.The prices vary ,so check around. The islands are very scenic, reminisent of Halong Bay,Viet Nam, the kayaking through the caves is well worth the trip.

“Sadly Disappointed”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

Very sorry to leave such a negative review of such a naturally beautiful location; however, we witnessed a very violent act while in AoNang that makes us concerned for folks with young families like ours. We saw a motorbike rental shop (Noui Rentals) owner attack a well-dressed, middle-aged farang in broad daylight. The farang was not behaving disrespectfully or threateningly that we could see. This farang was immediately surrounded by 6-8 Thai men and a bit of google search indicates such mob violence is not uncommon. These Thai made numerous loud racial comments. We also heard snide comments made by tuk-tuk operators when you politely decline their overpriced quotes for a ride. Not unlike the indifference displayed by our young waitresses while dining. Only spent a few days here so I am no authority on Thailand. We are just a family on vacation and were very turned off by the hostility. We have not experienced this in other tourist destinations. Cheers.

“Could be the best place on Earth”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

Unbelievable views around this beautiful coastline and the Islands out to Sea. Plenty of accommodation and places to eat at reasonable prices. Go for the Four Island Boat trip and see real paradise. Checkout the many day excursions. So much choice and good value.

Ao Nang as it's commonly known, now, like many other Thai Resorts suffers from congestion, uncontrolled parking, broken pavements and dirty roads. Ao Nang Beach also suffers from a broken waste water plant which the Authorities have not fixed for Months and filthy black water is allowed to pour in at the end of the Beach. It's sad but a serious health Hazard, and the stench!

How can the Thais allow their beautiful country to be so neglected?

If these shortcomings could be fixed then Ao Phra Nang could become Thailand's jewel in the crown.

“The Best Tour Company in Ao Nang”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

When staying at the Vogue Resort & Spa in Ao Nang my wife and I were looking to take some day trips. We searched and found MC Net Tour next door to the hotel. Kung the owner of MC was able to get us the best price for trips to Raily, Phi Phi Island and cab to the airport. Kung is a wonderful lady and wants to help everyone, the day trips we had were the best and we would book with her again no problem. She even gave us the names of great restaurants which included Yuk Kim.
If you are in Ao Nang look for the MC Net Tour office between 2 massage parlours next to the Vogue Resort Hotel and ask for Kung - she has several computers set up for checking your email or surfing the net, and any trip you want she will get you the best trip for the best price.
