“Pavilion Queen Bay Hotel.”

Pavilion Queen Bay Hotel.
After spending 2 fabulous weeks at this hotel here is my review.

The hotel has a great location with just a short tuk tuk ride or walk from Ao Nang Beach Walk with connections to all the beautiful ,lush, islands beyond.

The hotels has a great 3 story pool and waterfall that seamlessly connects to the lager structure of this grand hotel with top floor breakfast dining overlooking erected, green mountains, scattered randomly in the sea of Krabi.

There are a few good restaurants right outside the hotel for the lazy days one might spend by the pool.
The pool bar has prices that don't belong anywhere in Thailand where a burger & fries will run you up to 500 bath.
Get your drinks and food elsewhere.
The service at the hotels is good, with friendly and helpful staff and the smile is always present. Considering the smile as just a facade you can draw your own conclusions.
The management lent us a room to shower in prior to our late departure so we could wash the sand out of our hair before leaving. This was a BIG plus.
The tailor at the hotels got turned enraged after we were in for a look and half heartedly promised to come back after he could not deliver what we wanted, bugging me with questions of why we had not come back in the days after, rendering me to avoid this section of the hotel for the duration of our stay.

The room are large, and of great standard in Asian perspective but not western. I felt they were run down and in such contrition that they would be considered a 2 star by western standards.
If the rooms and the hotel as a hole had a total makeover this would indeed be the 5 star they claim to be. The aircon in the room did not work properly and had just one mode and would turn the room frizzing cold during the night. Turn it off..? It would turn too hot with poor quality of air.
The aircon would also generate a large puddle of water on the floor creating a large rot problems in the years to come.
The gym at the hotel was a joke, with smelly wall to wall and defect equipment.
The construction outside the hotel did not bother us but due ask for a room on the top floors. 4 and up.

In conclusion I liked the hotel but would not stay there again. It was below expectations. I can not recommend the hotel but would not dis-incurrage people form staying there either.

I will be back to Ao Nang in the years to come.

This is a vast hotel complex with large and spacious rooms, wonderful balconies and good service. The location a bit up a small road is not the best, but it is always easy to take the walk or hail a tuk-tuk. The views - mainly over a large construction area - were below expectations. We also had an extended argument over the gym, in which most machines were defect or not working at all. After having our travel agent intervening, the hotel at last offered complimentary car rides to the Ao Nang gym a few kilometers away. The supply of bars and restaurants in the hotel is good, and so is the service, but no one use them other than for enjoying the breakfeast facilities. A good and comfortable stay, but location could have been better.

Nice hotel near Ao Nang beach and shopping centre (approx. 10 min walk or 5 min ride with Tuk-Tuk). The staff was very helpful and polite. Very nice pool area with three swimming pools and pool bar. Very spacious rooms with separate shower and bath tub. Large balconies in double rooms. Buffet breakfast with many different sorts of food, loved the fresh fruit! The nearby construction site caused some noise.

We stayed at the hotel there for 5 days.. At first sight, the hotel looked a bit run-down despite a very beautiful rustic Thai architecture. We had a standard double room which was very spacious and very clean, with an attached balcony. The location is perfect, pnly around 10 mins to Ao Nang beach. We did enjoy the stroll after dinner. The staff are very friendly and helpful, largely a common disposition for Krabi people. The buffet spread for breakfast was very copious.. Overall, we loved the hotel.. We also tried the hotel spa which is reportedly one of the best in Krabi. We loved it, the service was very good. A bit pricey compared to the smaller hotels but great place to stay. .. Krabi's by itself a fantastic place, far better than Phuket, in our opinion!! :) Enjoy!

  • Liked — Very spacious rooms, excellent location.
  • Disliked — Swimming pool is small.

The hotel perched atop a hill and within 10 minutes walk to the Ao Nang shopping area. You may walk down the hill and take a "tut-tut" back to your hotel on return. It just cost 20 bath per person. Huge building and luxurious room size. I stayed 4th floor on the first night and move to 5th floor on the 2nd night. Love the balcony very much with a swing chair but the view NOT that spectacular as described in the brochure. They having major construction right in front of the balcony view. Avoid staying in Room 402. My friends heard & saw unusual thing in this room. The multi-level rectangle-shaped like swimming pool just nice compared with other hotel pools. Try-out the SPA located on the 1st floor.. a bit costly but very comfortable and grand in style. The breakfast venue located on 6th floor (top). Have a good view of the roof top while having a sumptuos
breakfast. Highly recommend for honeymooner or leisure seekers. Happy
holidays.

Stayed here after a few days in bangkok, very quiet and rooms great.
Found the food pricey and better to eat out on the beach, for quality and cost.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay in the Pavillion Queens Bay in Krabi. When we arrived the hotel looked ok, however it was further from the beach than stated on the hotel website. When we checked in we had a lovely welcome drink and were then shown to our room.
The room was on the 5th floor so we thought that there would be a nice sea view, as we were told, but that was not all. Not only could we see the sea but also a very large construction site below, lots of noise as you can imagine and you can imagine the rest!
The room had lots of black marks all over the wall paper, it looked dirty. We asked to be moved room and they showed us another. The next room was slightly better, still with holes in the bed linen, dull lighting and stagnant water around the plants on the balcony.
We told the manager how dissapointed we were because the room and the hotel did not look half as good as it did on the hotel website. She offered a meal in the hotel, which we turned down, and then ahe offered us both a 90min massage.
All in all the hotel is below average, its like a 3 * trying to be 4/5 but not succeeding.
