Very good tasting food. But try to avoid the dinner crowd otherwise you would have to wait almost an hour just to get your food. The place is understaffed. the chef needs extra kitchen helpers!!

You have to look closely for the restaurant but it serves fresh, good quality food. (Across from MacDonalds) Went to Aonang with a couple of Esan friends and they rated the food ( seems the lady who cooks is from Esan)

We spent a week in Ao nang during November 2013 and stumbled across this little gem on our second night, we were so pleased that we did as we just fell in love with the food, the bustling atmosphere and the family who run it.

We are here most days, had around 6 dishes and a couple of drinks each which came to around £10-12 in total.

The Penang curry is delicious as are the crab cakes and the fresh grilled prawns.

The food here was considerably better than the nearby hilltop restaurant and around a quarter of the price.

If we ever go back to the Krabi area then this place will be top of my list to visit.

Note that this is the "ESAN" across McDonalds, not the "E-SAN Original" facing the beach front.

Fantastic pad thai, addictive tom yum, very well balanced flavours.

Hankering for another meal there.

Generally poorly balanced flavours, inclined towards sourness.

Clams they served were half pre-dead (didn't open upon cooking).

Didn't really like it.
