The Hill Top is high up on the side of a hill with some spectacular views at sunset and great food after the sun goes down. The staff are well trained and attentive. They have been schooled to spead out and stand & watch. Then they can pounce if they think you need something. Thai smiles and friendly politeness abound. The restaurant is owned by a guy from Hong Kong. The supervisor is called Boom and he knows his job well. Unlike some places in Thailand where, once it is built, it immediately starts to look shabby and unmaintained, this is clean and smart.
There are a number of photo opportunities next to the eating area and a singer of light jazz style to accompany your meal. We sat outside with a great view, but there is undercover seating and some up stairs in the main building.
Good food, I had the chicken & beef steak and my wife had the king size prawns.
We would go again. You should try it.
The road up to the hilltop is steep and they will collect you from your hotel and take you back. Or, like us, you can drive your hire car up there.
A VERY pleasant evening with no rush and a relaxed atmosphere.
