We had booked 3 rooms from 14th july to 17th june,2013.The location is great just few meters away from the beach and restaurant. The breakfast was fine but a bit repetitive. The room was quite spacious. The pool was also well maintained..The tea session in the afternoon was also good. But one of the lights in 2 of our rooms was not working and even after notifying about the problem,no action was taken. Also, at the time of billing when we asked for the bill,we were not given a proper one and only after explaining that we wanted a proper bill with the hotel logo, etc, they gave the details on a white sheet of paper and later got it stamped.

We stayed in a grand superior sea view room (3rd floor). We loved the position of the resort, the friendly staff, the gardens and the breakfast tables (near the beach). We accepted the stairs as incidental exercise, but I would suggest that if you won't appreciate that, you should request low floor rooms. We were a family of 3 and found the room quite big enough, however we don't spend a lot of time in our rooms. We absolutely loved our view from our balcony. The resort is in a great position for organising longboat trips, shopping and all the lovely restaurants. Definitely give the dolphin pool massages a go - amazing. The gym was small but good.

Room Tip: Our grand superior sea view room had part views of the sea, the cliff face and gardens below.

We recently had a 9 night stay at this terrific resort. I specifically chose it for its fabulous location and it did not disappoint. One of the few properties that are directly opposite the beach and it was just a short walk out of the entrance driveway and you were on the main street of Ao Nang. It was really nice to be so close to the hustle and bustle of the main street and even nicer when you had had enough of that to return to your little oasis away from it all.
We holidayed in low season so it was really quiet and very pleasant, I dare say it would be a different story in peak season. Buffet breakfast was extensive however I did get a little over it by day 9.Setting by the beach is lovely.
Views from the Coral pool were stunning with the impressive cliffs in the background. The kids preferred the Dolphin pool as it was deeper and a little colder - also had the swim up bar. Massages by the pool were terrific and they had a happy hour with 50% off between 10 and 1pm so we made good use of this.
We were a family of 4 who had 2 interconnecting rooms. These were extremely spacious and well set out. Beds and pillows were also surprisingly comfortable as this is often not the case in Asia. Rooms were extremely clean and tidy and serviced daily - no complaints.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed this resort and would recommend it to others.

The hotel is nice and average. It's the kind of hotel where people lay out their towels, and staff do nothing, so Sun beds are empty for hours.
The breakfast is average..pancakes, but no syrup, juices have never seen a fruit. Rooms are nice and big. But in the morning you cannot sit at the balcony because of a strong smell of bacon from the breakfast area.
I Will not go back, but thats because of the clientel. Felt like a charter holtiday with people not used to travel, going into the restaurant in tank tops and bathing suit, bring their own cheese for breakfast, leave their towels ón the Sun beds, drink beer in the pool...small things, but when there are so mand of this type of people...

Room Tip: Ask which ones turning agsinst the breakfast area. Balcony cannot be used from 6-11 because of the...

My family and I (5 of us) together with my husband's cousin and wife stayed at this hotel from 19-22 July 2013 as part of a Dreamtrip and also to celebrate my birthday :-). On the first night we were treated to a seafood buffet dinner near the beach. There was ample food which was good and very tasty. Breakfast in the morning was also varied. The room we had (1201) was very spacious and had a lovely view of the little stream. The hotel staff are very pleasant. It has easy access to shopping and nightlife, with massage parlours and nail salons scattered everywhere. The filter in the main pool, however, was not in working condition, therefore the water was a little murky. The Dolphin pool was fine and therefore, we swam there. We had a very pleasant stay and it was a wonderful family holiday.

Room Tip: Choose rooms that are not on the ground floor near the big pool if you want peace and quiet.

Dear Sunita

Thank you for your review. I am pleased to learn that you and your family have enjoyed stay with us, and our team is well taken care of you. Your comment regards of swimming pool water condition, at the time we have some issues with water supply from governor and with amount of rain defect to our swimming pool system. At the time we had temporary closed the pool for a day for carry out some water treatment. Now our swimming pool condition is back to normal. We are also planning to increase filter pump system to our main pool to ensure we maintain a safety, healthy and comfortable environment for the guest staying with us. I am apologies for the inconvenience during stay.

We had it from the travel agent our room would have a sea view. This was not the case. We were in a room at the back of the complex, 3 floors up with no lifts. So anyone that has problems with stairs you need to be very specific when booking to get a ground floor room. My advice would be to get a ground floor room around the main pool area at the front of the complex. These are ideally located. I agree with one of the other reviewers, the lounges need to be upgraded and there needs to be more of them. The bar service is only if you go to them. they could be making a lot more money if they pro-actively came around offering food and drinks. The pizza we tried was below average. Looks good but they aren't cooked probably so the base is soggy. The breakfasts are OK but certainly not as good as we have had in Thailand.
Location is the best part. Right on the beach in the middle between the shopping precinct and the other end of the massage tents all lined up waiting for your business. So the location is very good.

We arrived to a hot room and when I asked for a second key I was told they didnt have one. I advised I would stay at their desk until they found one as I'm not going back to a hot room. Under sufferance I was given a key for the air con but not the door. Pretty anal actually.

They use a syrup out of a bottle for their cocktails instead of fresh fruit so dont get a dacquiri or anything like that as its sickly sweet and runny as no fruit in it.

The bed was comfortable but even though the travel agent assures me she asked for a double, we got twin beds. I complained and all they did was push them together but left the 2 separate sheets and doona's as they were. So we had a nice old rift down the middle anytime we wanted to cuddle up.

All in all, I would suggest the Management of this place take a visit to the Amari in Koh Samui and check out everything including their breakfasts.

One last thing, check out the prices of a massage outside before you try the spa. The spa is 3 times the prices of the very efficient and lovely local people down in the massage alley just past The Fishermans. I thought it was extremely expensive.

Room Tip: ask for pool side room on the front pool near the reception area. The pool hours are 8-7 so noise w...

Dear DelPerthWA

Thank you for your recent stay and the review. Please accept my sincere apologized for all inconveniences caused you have experience during stay with us. Our resort has several room categories which different style of decoration and view and every building has low rise building with 3 stories. The rooms on the ground floor you are recommend other traveler is Deluxe Pool view. I am agreed with you, the room is recommended as it has easy access to swimming pool.

The service you were received around the pool and guest room set up, are certainly unacceptable for our hotel standard and thank you for bringing this up to my attention. For the spa price, at any hotel is always higher than a local beach massage area or outside shop as we operate differently which, involves product training technical before they’re able to provide the service to the guest. Also, our therapist is required to get certificated from Ministry of Public Health, and our Spa also has annual audits from Ministry of Public Health to assess the resort’s standard compliance.

However, thank you for taking time to review and feedback that would help us to improve our service and facility in needed area.
