“Oldie but a goodie”

We stayed here early December for 4 nights. We were a family of 4 so we booked a junior suite room. The room was situated on the corner overlooking the busy main road. After a noisy first night we spoke to the reception staff and were moved to over to the pool side with adjoining rooms. It was the first time I have requested a room change and was most grateful that we were accommodated. The rooms are outdated but the location was fantastic. We were able to sit outside on the balcony after the children were in bed or even read our books during the day out of the sun. Happy hour drinks - buy 2 get one free. They only brought out 2 and gave you the third once you were ready. Very thoughtful. The accomodation is opposite the beach. The beach had little shelter from the sun but it didn't stop us from sitting in the water for long periods of time. The pool is well shaded and is a little cold by Thai standards. The breakfast was ok with your usual offerings but wasn't on my list of favourites. We actually didn't eat dinner at the resort as there were so many other choices. Overall, I would recommend staying here. We have travelled around Thailand a bit as expats and Krabi is my favourite!

We recently stayed for 4 days at this hotel. After the first day, items (outside of safe) were gone thru meticulously by the maid staff and they stole specific high-end clothing, Lonely Planet books, and some jewelery hidden inside the bag. Maid service cleans rooms with doors closed at this location. Upon complaining, he front office / manager did not do anything. No refund or monetary compensation was offered. We were told to report the incident to a far away police station. Besides that, the cleans were not in good condition. It is a very old and rundown hotel at best, and interior and exterior is moldy and no clean. There is a constant sewer small at the hotel. I think their sewer system is backed-up as we saw seweage trucks 2 days. Sometimes the smell comes from bathroom too. This hotel is also loud as in you can hear the street noises constantly. Location is good, but there are so many hotels nearby so you many many nicer choices. Also the complimentary water bottles look are they are "refilled". We saw maid collecting them in cases. The morning buffet breakfast is not worth the price as the food quality is poor. The cooking staff is inexpereinced in cooking. I cannot believe I had to show the guy cooking a fried egg on how to cook. They also use concentrates instead of fresh juices. Their are no Thai choices at breakfast. Previous day's french toasts were mixed in. I think for $100-120 (including taxes & breakfast) a night, you can do a lot better in the area.

We stayed in this hotel for a week. The hotel is well situated, and the superb beach is just across a lightly used service road. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The swimming pool was a nice feature, well shaded, and maintained, although there were few sunloungers available considering the capacity of the hotel. The food was so-so!
However, the reason I have given the hotel a poor rating is because the "deluxe" room we had was so quirky and uncomfortable. It had no wardrobes, no bed headboard, no chairs to sit in, nor table, just an unsightly put-me up bed. It had a bath in the room, making it cramped, and seperate toilet, but with the washbasin in the room, compromising hygine!
The analogue satellite TV had poor reception on many of its channels.
The hotel in gereral is tired and in need of a refurb.

Room Tip: Dont book a "deluxe" room!

Hello everybody!
I was living in Phra Nang Inn hotel in this october 2012.
Krabi is calm region without expensive hotels look like as Hilton and etc.
It is real eco tourism area.
When I was looking hotel in Krabi I wanted to live practically on the beach. Main problem was that there is main road and people who live opposite it must go across it for walking on the beach.
You can see on the map how Phra Nang Inn is well situated because the best beach is in the left side near high rocks. It is 5 minute from Phra Nang Inn.
Well. Room in hotel was no big but comfortable.
If you go to Krabi in rain period, you can feel smell of dampness in room.
It is normal because you live on the coast of ocean. Conditioner can solve this problem. There are in room (safe, fan, tv, fridge, free wi fi, sneakers, robes and etc.)
We lived in Phra Nang Inn in 6 days and every day went to nearest islands for swimming. It was were good for rest and relax) To tell the truth I swan on main beach only first time when we arrived on the evening.
My opinion about Phra Nang Inn hotel good hotel for having a holiday on Krabi!
