“The staff at the hotel was always friendly!”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

Great staff, nice large room with great bathroom. The balcony was overlooking the pool area. Great pool by the way, very tropical looking. I really had a nice stay. The breakfast was maybe too expensive.

I'm staying at this hotel for 4D3N. It was for our honeymoon. Booked through Expedia which at that time offered the lowest rate compared to other online travel agent. We arrived very early in the morning at around 9 a.m. Checked in by receptionist named WANNA. We understand and aware that the check in time is after 2pm. But we just tryin' our luck. Surprisingly she made us fill up all the registration form and pay the deposit like we gonna get the room on the spot. But no, we still need to wait until 2 p.m. I don't want to spoilt our mood so we just kept our luggage with the bell boy and went out to get some foods. We came back to the hotel at 12 p.m and tried our luck again. No luck, the room still not available. I've tried again at 1 p.m, the same answer given. 15 minutes before 2 p.m I asked them again but still the room is not ready. But, surprisingly I saw like 2 new arrival and they straight away got the room. I'm pissed off and told them why they got the room when they just arrived while I'm waiting from the morning and I still got nothing! They should prepare the room for us first since they know we are waiting from the morning. They should AWARE! Then only they rushed up the housekeeping to get the room ready, ONLY when my voice a lil bit serious.

We being escorted by another receptionist to the room (she was good but I forgot her name). The room situated at the last building. She explained where the restaurant is, the bar, pool, operation time..bla..bla..bla. Which is I think a very good touch. We love the explanation. When we entered the room, everything was nice and good condition. Room is spacious, bed is big, modern toilet, nice bath tub but not too big, a so-so selection of tv channel, very good WIFI connection (eventhough they keep asking you to enter the password again when your phone in idle mode for so long. No big deal for us). The swimming pool also nice eventhough it's a long thin swimming pool. They got jacuzi at the pool too. If you got kids, maybe you can choose the Deluxe Room Pool Access. Easy to swim anytime you like. Anytime means during the pool operation hour :) We didn't take breakfast because we are Muslim and we're not sure whether the the foods is Halal or not. But no worries, they got so many restaurants out there that serve Halal food. Please do enjoy the foods sold at the mobile stall along the rood. They are very cheap and tasty. You can get Pad Thai for only 30 Bath compared to the restaurant, they sell Pad Thai for 119 Bath! No huge difference about the taste though. The hotel a lil bit secluded but it's good if you want some privacy. You can get Tuk Tuk for 20 Bath/person if you don't wanna walk to town. There's always a Tuk Tuk in front of the hotel. Or maybe you can rent a scooter like us for 250 Bath (24 hours). But remember, they will keep your passport for their safety.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Eventhough we got some issue during check in and check out time, I must admit the staff are friendly despite lacks of training. Please put more attention to your staff because they are the first impression of the hotel.

Room Tip: 1. If you don't wanna walk too much, please book nearer room to the lobby. 2. Try to book pool...

My husband and I stayed for two nights in January when Krabi was in full swing. We really enjoyed our stay here and loved our room after having stayed at more basic hotels on the rest of our trip. This is a modern, new, chain hotel that presents itself well. However, the competency of the staff was really not up to par. This was not a huge deal, but every request, however simple, took much longer than they should have. To us, it seemed like there was a lack of defined roles and responsibilities, which resulted in constant multi-tasking and inability of staff in answering our questions. We booked the Hong Islands tour (with speedboat) through the hotel, which was great, but the staff was unable to explain to us the difference between that tour and the 4 islands tour. Again, not a huge deal, but surprising given all the positive reviews about the service at the hotel.

The distance is really not an issue if you are willing to walk 10-15 minutes or take a 2-minute tuk-tuk ride that is 20 baht/person. Breakfast at the hotel was overpriced for what you get. We tried dinner buffet one day and were very happy.

Overall I would recommend this hotel, but I hope the management will better train the staff and develop better processes to handle guest requests at this 4-star establishment.
