I stayed 1 week in Mercure Krabi Deevana and my experience over there has been great. The hotel is perfectly located at 10 minutes by foot from Ao Nang beach and close from any commodities (restaurants, bars, convenience stores, massages, travel agencies, tailors). In the same time this hotel is perfectly calm and offer a good range of meals, buffets,... and a really nice and relaxing swimming pool. Unfortunately, the service (reception desk, bar) is not very effective and spoiled a part of our stay.

Really wonderful hotel to enjoy holidays.
It seems to be the best place in Krabi
Aonang beach.
Just few minutes from beach and main bazar area. Free transfer avilable from hotel at perticular timings.
Reception fast. Very limited options for vegitarians(juice, bread &fruits)
Rooms large. House keeping excellent.
Bath rooms with glass pannels looks excellent. Rooms in first floor are attached with pool really great.
We had returned flight very early in morning we requested veg.breakfast packehd. We were given food packets
with excellent fruits and veg.sandwitch.
We never look for any another hotel when we come back to Krabi again.

Jurant for the princely sum of £8 per person.......If you're sensible you'll walk 3 minutes dawn the road to the Swiss Chalet and have a full breakfast for about £3.50.
The hotel wi-fi is terrible you have to obtain a password and code from reception every 7 days which you have to use virtually evertime you log in. You are the directed to The Mercure homepage which is annoying because the connection is so slow it takes time to open pages. If you want to use the internet centre in the hotel there is a charge. The receptionist recommended we go into town as it would be half the price.
The hotel Laundry prices are unbeleivable. 40TB for a pair of shorts!!.....Once again a quick 3 minute walk down the road and there are endless places to get laundry done for 40TB per kilo.
The balconies have very nice looking wooden chairs, which unfortunately are uncomfortable after a short while because they dont have cushions.
Despite leaving a tip for our room cleaner everyday. Twice we were left without any towels and had to ring down for some.
There are many other little niggles with this hotel but I'm sure you can get an idea of what I'm trying to say..........All Style over Substance!

Two words....THE STAFF. I never heard the word "no" All my needs were meet, sometimes with a little language barrier problem but we worked through it.
My wife and I arrived at KBV airport where the hotel arranged driver was waiting for us. We checked in quickly and were escorted to our room. We had the room service that night which was reasonably priced and tasty. The room itself was clean overall. The balcony overlooking the pool was nice with a rack to hang wet clothes. The next morning we inquired about renting a scooter. The rental service delivered the bike to the hotel in 10 mins for 250B a day. We also booked a tour through the hotel which we were quite happy with. The arranged taxi from the hotel to the airport was there on time even though we changed to an earlier time with less than a hour notice.

On the downside the hotel is one of the less sound proof I've been in. We had horrible furniture movers in the room above us. They would decide to re-decorate about 1am. This went on for 2 nights. The next day we asked the front desk about a solution they told us that party had checked out and a new party had checked in. That ended that problem. The hotel itself is a bit off the beaten path away from the Main Street. That was a bonus in my book to keeping the room quiet.

If you're looking for a reasonably priced room with a great staff then I would tell you this is it.

Everything about this hotel is ok,but it feels like you are staying in a block of flats. It would be a good transit hotel if you had to stay one night to catch a connecting flight.
The hotel is at the end of a dead end street with no outlook or holiday ambience. The rooms are large and clean but have the dreaded shower in the bath, which makes for a dangerous exit. The selection of TV channels is terrible, mainly Thai speaking local channels.
The pools are clean, but are narrow and more like lap pools.
Breakfast is reasonable,as I said at the start,it's ok.
Overall the hotel is clean and well presented. It is quite good value,it just lacks something for a tropical tourist destination.
