“Fresh Seafood, Mantis Shrimp Warning!”
Reviewed April 8, 2014 via mobile

Came here twice as seafood here is very fresh and service is excellent.

One thing to note if you are ordering the mantis shrimp; make sure you tell them not to cut your mantis shrimp as they steal the roe when they cut them. The first time we had it, it was cut into half and my girlfriend who knows about the mantis shrimp suspected that the roe was removed, second time we ordered them not to cut and wala! thick roe from head to tail, superb! third time we ordered (takeaway back to our resort) we were in a hurry to put in the order as we have to catch our ferry to Centara, we forgotten to tell them not to cut and as expected, no roe.

At 3000Baht per kg, its not cheap and this is the one thing we are really unhappy about. So travellers, be warned, take it whole not cut, steamed, its the best way to taste the sweetness.

Som tam is good, so is the tomyam and pad thai. Also, pls check the estimated price of your order before they send it into the kitchen. Go early (around 6pm) or else there will be a long queue and waiting times for food is up to 45mins.

“Always go to a restaurant filled with local...”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

Well, we wanted to eat seafood in Aonang and we do not want to go to any of those 'touristy' restaurant.... We asked our friendly hotel staffs and they recommend this gem. The restaurant is located about 15mins away from Aonang in Naparat thara beach. The journey from Aonang with a tuk-tuk will cost THB40 per person. The restaurant is pack with hungry locals and the food is great! My tips to order is to ask the hotel staffs to recommend what to ordered and write it down in thai... that really makes our ordering easy. Tips on shopping too : the shops outside the restaurant are great for shopping because the price is cheaper than any store in Aonang without needing to bargain....

Reviewed April 6, 2014

the food was just great, cannot complain at all ! location is by the pier, about 10 minutes drive from ao nang itself. worth jumping in a tuktuk taxi to get there. the national park also starts right there, good for a stroll after your dinner

“Eat where the locals eat”
Reviewed April 5, 2014

Very good food at great prices. Ordered a whole fish, very nice. Other dishes were great too. Staff were fast and efficient, very busy, and we know why. If you want a good seat, get in early. Restaurant was a little warm, but there are dozens of fans to help this. Some of the best food we ate in Ao nang. Wish we found this place sooner.
