We stayed a week here and loved the fact that it was out the way. For the price we paid it was really good but I think we had a good deal through agoda as direct with hotel seemed a lot. Really feels like your in the jungle and its a bit more unique than many places round there. Breakfast was good although my hubby did have a bit of a bad belly after eating the meat /sausage so we kept to toast cereal pancakes after. We only had one lunch and one evening meal and not were good. The Thai curry was lovely. Staff are nice and although we walked into town nice to have the shuttle if required. The only little complaints was the safe not working, the air con never seemed to be able to be turned down. I was froze and was glad for the duvet on the bed. Wish they would get the pool ready early, the loungers round the pool should be cleaned before 9am in my opinion as they were covered in bugs, leaves dirt etc. Some things are getting a little tired and tatty especially the wooden flooring of which I was concerned our foot was going to go through. Overall though great stay, some great trips and not so great to is Hong island. Loved our holiday here all in all.

I count on trip advisor whenever I'm travelling and feel that it is important for people to honestly review the places they go to, so that others can learn from the experiences. A lot of people seem to have high standards and whinge about daft things, but I can promise I'm not one of them. I like to see positives in everything as nothing is perfect, but feel that I need to say that you should choose another hotel if you're looking to stay in Ao Nang. The rooms and set up are really cute and you do feel like you're in the jungle, yet close to the beach. (With that in mind, remember that you will therefore have a lot of mosquitos to contend with and can't leave the doors open at any time). The breakfast unfortunately is shocking. Plastic fried eggs that were overlooked to start with and then at 8am seemed to have been sitting there for days already. Plus very little choice. The coffee is also awful. In addition, whilst the girls on the front desk were generally helpful, the guy working there is miserable as sin. Everything is too much trouble and quite frankly we ended up getting bored with seeing his unsmiling face every morning and evening. It's a shame to say it, but for numerous reasons I would strongly suggest you book into another hotel. There are many that charge a similar price and seem infinitely better.

This resort has a nice location away from the main downtown area of Ao Nang, next to some gorgeous inland karsts, yet still within walking distance of the beach (15 mins). The rooms are nice, and the cleaning staff did a nice job of replenishing shower supplies, clean towels etc. the pool is quite small and was full almost every hour. The fitness room is tiny, but has a nice new treadmill that worked well and some free weights. Did not try the sauna or spa, appeared to be closed while we were there. The female reception staff were very nice and always friendly, however the male staff member on duty was downright miserable. He never smiled, was abrupt to the point of being rude, and did not make any effort to make us feel welcome. A shame, because this really impacted our experience. The breakfast buffet was also disappointing, the food was generally awful (poorly cooked eggs sitting in warmers for long periods, sad looking hot dog style sausages etc) but if you're ok with instant coffee and toast it's fine. The gardens are well done, though the room was often full of mosquitos (no mosquito net in the room, so I would recommend spray for your body at night or a plug in of some sort). The staff can arrange taxis, motorbikes can be rented for 250 baht/day, and there is a shuttle into town frequently. Overall, the rooms were nice, the pool ok, the breakfast lousy. Ok for a short visit on somewhat of a budget, but I doubt I would stay again.

Room Tip: Stay away from the rooms in the front, loud due to reception

We loved this place! They are a 30 baht tuktuk ride from town, but so worth it! They were able to set up a cooking tour, take care of our laundry, and organize an airport taxi. The grounds are nice and shady. The rooms are spacious and air conditioned. They also set up Thai massages on the grounds. We ended up staying 2 nights when we only planned to stay one. Only thing I would say is know that it is a bit off the main drag... Maybe a quarter mile. Not bad though for a short walk or tuktuk ride!

This is a great resort, which we booked as the first stopoff in an island-hopping trip round the region with andaman adventures. The best thing about the PhuPha is the quiet location. We visited 3 destinations in our tour of the region and Ao Nang was the busiest. This was cool as it meant that when we got to Ao Nang we enjoyed the buzz of the place, and when we left to go to Lanta we enjoyed the laid-back scene on Lanta. It was good to book a place like the PhuPha which is away from the main beach and drag in Ao Nang, which we found fun, but we enjoyed leaving and going back to our quiet and affordable hotel, the PhuPha. Good place, would return.

I stayed one night here before flying back to Bangkok from the islands and it was excellent. The resort itself is a five minute walk from the main road so nice and quiet, but very easy to go to nearby bars and restaurants. Buildings look fantastic and you feel like you are tucked away in a little mountain resort. Food is very good and reasonably priced and pool area and bar are nice and relaxed. Staff were very helpful and organised airport transfer for the following morning, and the resort provides a cheap and very quick laundry service, brilliant if you're recovering from a whirlwind trip around the islands.

Room Tip: We had an upstairs room near the entrance which was very quiet and the balcony had a nice view of th...

Only a one night stay en route to the airport from the islands - but this hotel made a perfect stop-off. It is tucked beneath the famous towering cliffs at Ao Nang and seems like an oasis in the afternoon heat. The rooms are in separate blocks of four, two lower and two above. The higher ones accessed by steps which split partway to give individual access to bedroom.
Large hexgonal rooms in varnished wood with small balcony overlooking the central swimming pool area, surrounded by many large luscious green plants. Great big really comfortable bed. Small luggage/wardrobe room. Bath with shower over, toilet and basin all in same room with walls in 'crazy-paving' style and bamboo shelves/accessories. Bed linen and towels good. Larger towels at pool. Not many sunbeds.
We did not stay long enough to use restaurant, but a good packed breakfast was provided for our early departure. Early morning call from reception ensured we were up in time for our taxi.
Reception staff friendly and helpful. Courtesy hotel bus into the beach/town area.
Very happy we chose this hotel; thought it was good value for money - we only booked from the tablet the day before - everything was so easy.
