“nice place shame they had overbooked”
Reviewed January 17, 2011

Quiet jungle area but although after booking in april they didn't have a room for us they said there was water problems with the room but there was already people in the room and because of that we had to change room 4 times in 6 nights and 2 resorts. Although they never charged us anymore money it was a disappointing way to start your holiday waiting to change rooms 4 times. It was nice to see chickens, guinea fowl and other animals roaming free but worrying to see a endangered species such as the Gibbon kept in a small cage at the resort. It is a shame to see this illegal activity is still continuing.

We stayed in the cheapest bungalow for two nights and found it fine. After staying in some overpriced resorts elsewhere I was a bit anxious about this place on the way there. Small, no fridge, no air con (fan was more than okay) but very clean, cute and charming.

All the staff were friendly, the breakfast very good, great pool area all set in a large picturesque tropical garden complete with roaming peacocks and chickens beside a big cliff. Too far to walk to Ao Nang beach but free shuttle provided or only 80 baht by tuk tuk.

NOTE: We booked mini bus travel through their on-site travel agent to Phuket and regretted it massively. A sweaty 6 hour ordeal which wasted a whole day and put all the 17(!) passengers in a foul mood. Pay extra for a private 2 and half hour taxi or take the 2 hour ferry. Don't make the same mistake as us unless you're near broke.

It's a quiet resort located about 5-10 minutes away from the beach. They have rooms with fans or air-conditioner. Our room was air-conditioned with bathroom. You have your own bungalow which is really nice! The swimming pool located under the cliff was nice too! You can book tours and rent bikes through the reception. There is also free shuttle services to/from the beach.

My partner and I stayed at the ao nang cliff view resort for three nights. Our stay was pleasant. We had a superior bungalow with a fridge, and the room was clean. Our room was serviced daily and they helped us carry our luggage to and from the bungalow. The rooms have nets in front of the door to prevent the insects from getting in and it does feel like you are in the jungle. Its very quiet and you can hear all the creatures. The location is no problem because the hotel provides a shuttle every hour between 8am-10pm. Just be very clear on where you need picking up. You have to go to a tour desk on the front strip and request the pick up. They give you a map and its very easy to find but this was not explained to us and we had to pay for a taxi back. It wasn't much, but when we told the man he didn't seem to care. Also we had to arrange a lift to the airport. We inquired about the shuttle but the man told us if you want that, you have to arrange it yourself. His shuttle was twice the price. Its fair enough that he is running a business and trying to make money but personally i thought that was a little rude. The airport shuttle was not suitable for times with us but we had a private van take us to the airport for cheaper so just ask around in the town a little. That was were service was a slight let down however the lady behind reception was very helpful and the restaurant staff were very friendly and polite.
Dinner was fine when we ate there but unfortunately the breakfast is covered in bugs. The next day it was covered up better, but again eggs are cold because they have been sat there since 7am.
Internet is available but you have to pay to use the computers.
Breakfast aside, this is a lovely resort to stay at and i thought was good value for money. Ao nang beach itself is nothing spectular in my opinion however its 100 baht to go to railay beach west which was beautiful.

My partner and I stayed at this resort just before high season so we were able to take advantage of the cheaper rates. Although we paid the price with a bit of rain it was still worth it, we just swam in the beautiful pool in the rain. The scenery is really amazing and if you are looking for a relaxing quiet time (no alcohol is served on the resort) this is a great place. There is hourly transportation to the town (it takes 5minutes to drive) and we rented scooters which was great for exploring and having a bit of freedom.
One of my problems was that the room smelled a bit like mold or something but we just opened the windows and it seemed to help. This could be because it was low season and it did not ruin our trip at all. The food could be attributed to low season as well as the breakfast was really bad (cold, bugs flying around it buffet style two of the mornings) Also, our trip to the airport was problematic because we were dropped of outside McDonalds and told to wait for a van to take us to the airport. 5 minutes before the van was to arrive we noticed a HUGE airport bus just a bit up the road. We thought it could not be ours but chased it anyways just to make sure and it pulled away. We called the hotel and after much confusion they said we had missed our ride which was really upsetting because it left early and we were told to wait for an airport van. We took a van from the airport so we knew what to look for. Ultimately, it made for a sour end to our trip
where we were willing to look past the food and musty room for the beautiful atmosphere, the expensive and frantic trip to the airport with no help from the staff was not good. All in all, this place is REALLY beautiful and worth checking out for a night or two.

I booked a Fan Hut and was impressed by it! It's very cooling at night & I just need to adjust the fan speed to 1 just for the air circulation. You can expect all soap, shampoo and hot shower in the toilet, & mosquito coils, safe, hanger & a queen size bed in the room...
A very quiet & cozy space all by yourself with no outside disturbance. Given the price I paid for, it's heaven's gift to be surrounded by nature with a swimming pool, sauna & gym. The resort arrange transportation to & fro to the beach every hour from 8am - 10pm. Even if I miss the last transport back, I just need to pay a mere THB40 for the tuk tuk to send me back to the resort. The staffs are very friendly & helpful as well in regardless of any inquiries from my stay to airport transfer to day tour & activities to simply everything you need to know.
However, look out for mosquitoes, sand-flies, cockroaches & all other insects as you are exposed to the nature!
I will recommend this resort for those are looking for R&R type of holiday.

Our trip ended at Ao Nang Cliff view. We were pleased with the room, however they never in the 3 days that we were there came to clean it. Even when the sign was put on the door. They gave us fresh towels and water but never even made our bed. Its was the end of rainy season and they were getting ready for the high season but seriously... A resort has to maintain face with customers when they are there. Breakfast was AWFUL! do not include that in your charge. It was buffet, uncovered, cold and covered in flies. We woke up at 7am and the food was out. That same food, eggs, bacon and toast were sitting out until almost 11am. Unacceptable!!!
I would recommend this place as its quiet, but the transportation to and from the city sucks. We were brought late to our bus for the airport after buying a ticket for the shuttle. And they said too bad and dropped us off. We then needed to get a tuk tuk.
