Reservations were Promptly.
Service staff who truly cared ,willing to change the cocktail if it does meet up to standards. Attentive and Friendly.
Quality you pay premium not for budget conscious you get good stuff here prices on menu or bad stuff at fake prices ao nang being touristy, all cafes along and around serve basically same prices per dish 100-180 baht for basic dishes. 280-350 baht for fish and crab
Ambience perfect with the short climb up the restaurant will bring you to a nice rooftop like perched on a hill looking out to the sea.
It was low clouds and heavy so no sunset viewing this round.
Transportation was Easy and stress free on time return transfers offered by the restaurant. No need to face Tuk tuks who simply enjoy plying on tourist dollars. And refuses to negotiate for decent fares.
( having worked in Bangkok , the rides for the short stretches of100-500 baht doesnt work for me)
100 baht for less than 200 m.
200 baht for 200-300m.
300/400 from aonang to krabi town .500 for private airport transfers
Well some walking , song thew for krabi town , airport shuttle avAilable. Its not about the money , is it really necessary to get ripped ?
This Lay Lae is recommended people who appreciate the finer art of dining with a nice environment.

We were there in the middle of the rainy season and the weather was terrible, but the friendliness of the staff and the great meal made up for the lack of view. It is more expensive than most places but we felt it was worth it. Pick up from hotel made it an easy destination (especially in the rain!) we shall return on a good evening to see the sunset.

The food is amazing. do not miss Tom yum soup and coconut icecream. The view from the hill top is awesome. Service is excellent. Little expensive as compared to other restaurants in Ao Nang but worth a visit. They offer a free pick up and drop.

We went to Lae Lay last night for dinner as a group of four (two couples) & loved everything about it. From the hotel pick up, to the staff, to the setting, to the food, it was perfect. Yes, the food is expensive (especially the prawns we had!), but we're happy to pay for price & quality. The Panang Curry was one of the best we've had. Highly, highly recommend!
