“First and oldest restaurant in Ao Nang”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

This restaurant claims to be the first and oldest restaurant on the beach in Ao Nang, which it proudly states on a sign above the entrance. On staying in Ao Nang in March 13 we visited this restaurant on a few occasions and found the food to be consistently good if a little small in portion size. Great value for money however, and right in the centre of Ao Nang just across the road from the beach. Usual selection of thai food served efficiently, tried the massaman and red thai curries, pad thai, and various rices including the sticky rice, all good!!!!

“Great meals”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

We ordered tradition Thai meals to see their interpretation of the dishes and were blown away! The Tom Yum soup and Pad Thai were exceptional.I also ordered a Japanese tofu meal to be different and was equally impressed. We did go back for more and enjoyed those dishes too. The cherry on the top is not only the price but the fact that it is non-smoking. Well done!

“Ultimate food heaven”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

Having spent the past 12 days in Ao Nang this restaurant is by far the best we have eaten in (we're here for the second night in a row and it's a shame we only discovered it as we are leaving tomorrow). Krua Ao Nang restaurant is found down the end of a walkway of restaurants (walk down the end of the promenad past the boat ticket hut) with a balcony overlooking the sea, waves crashing against the shore, sitting out in the open- très romantique!) Ultimate Food Heaven!! from the South African Shiraz-Cabernet (which is chilled- admitedly I found this strange at first but as you will be all too aware the heat is somethig to contend with and the chilled red wine goes down nicely) to the devine masaman beef curry, this is a restaurant you do not want to miss. We shared a local dish Pu-Ja crab meat delicately flavoured and put back into the shell and as mentioned above the beef masaman. Oh the beef masaman- I cannot believe I haven't had this dish before- a local delight. It is bursting with flavour. I think I will have to experiment in the kitchen when I get home!

“Great food but small portion”
Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

Pad Thai is really good. Tom yam soup with fresh seafood is the best among all the restaurants. Not too pricey. The only negative is the small serving portion.
