“Beautiful beach”
Reviewed February 1, 2014

Day trip to beach by boat, well worth it - lovely sand and warm water not too crowded - best to go morning and leave by 2 pm before it gets too busy

“Picturesque... But too crowded!!!”
Reviewed January 29, 2014 via mobile

We took a longboat to railay east (which is only a 5 minute walk to west beach and phra nang) and walked to phra nang. Watched some rock climbing activities (wow!). The rock formations are spectacular. Really gorgeous. Next time, I would try to get here early in the morning (maybe 8am) to avoid the sun bathers! I think it would be quite beautiful to have it all to yourself!

80 baht to Railay and 50 baht from Railway West to tonsai (backpacker/hippie hangout). The longboats also go to Ao Nang.

“Awesome hidden beach”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

When you see pictures of the small limestone island in the water, right in front of the beach, its this beach. You can only get here by boat. From here you can walk to Railay beach but that beach is nothing compared to this one. At Phra Nang there's a cave also, some rockclimbing and you can swim to the limestone island. Awesome place to relax for a day. Just take a boat from Ao Nang or Krabi.

“Few days at Ao Nang”

Really nice beach, with a monkeys around, warm and clear water also. Definitely one of Ao Nang's must see attractions. Just try to avoid the crowds.

“Way too crowded”
Reviewed January 21, 2014

We went here as a part of a private longtail boat trip, and felt very sorry for the people staying at the posh resorts on the beach. Poor souls must have paid a lot of money to be right on the pristine beach. Then, every day literally thousands of tourists flood the beach. There is a nice cave with stalagmites and stalactites, plus lots of cool roots. And a shrine with hundreds of wooden phalluses.

Not recommended.
