I had some friends who were staying here so we decided to stay in the hotel without much review. We did not have a great experience even though the place has some positive qualities.

Things that could be improved...
- Replying to e-mail - When I tried to make a reservation I went on their website and filled out the form. I got no reply for days. Then I sent them an e-mail asking if there was any availability. No reply for days. Finally, I called them and made a reservation over the phone and was able to get a reply.
- Helpfulness of the staff - We were going to arrive early so I called them and informed them as such. The nice person on the phone said that it should not be a problem and we could get one of the first rooms available as the check-out is a 11am. When we arrived at 11:15am they were simply rude to us and pointed us to a sign that said check-in is at 2pm. I totally understand that they have policies and I would not be upset except for the fact that they had set our expectations that they would accomodate us so we planned accordingly and the clean crew was simply sitting around at 11am. Ultimately, some of the staff is super helpful and others don't want to help out.
- A/C was broken one day - The hotel staff does not check for functionality of the equipment. The A/C in our room was broken the first day - they were able to fix it after we insisted on a new room.
- Getting locked in the bathroom - The really funny one was in our friends room where the bathroom lock did not work so if you closed the bathroom door you were locked in unless someone from the outside let you out. Unfortunately, one night a friend got locked in there while we went to dinner and they were stuck sleeping in the bathtub for 2 hours. We called the front desk the first night to get it fixed and even by the second night it was not fixed.

The good...
I found the hotel to be clean, spacious and with nice hot water.

Depending on your preferences...
- The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the beach. The walk can be pretty intense on a hot day. In hindsight it was a bit too far away from the beach for our tastes and we would have preferred other hotels that were about the same price closer to the beach.
- The hotel is four stories tall and does not have an elevator. It was not much of an issue for us but it could be for others.

Overall, an okay value in terms of price but there are other hotels closer to the beach would have been just as expensive if not slightly cheaper. If the staff was accommodating and responsive I could see myself giving this place a 4 star recommendation.

The staff is what makes this lovely guesthouse so enjoyable. A bit up the hill from the center of Ao Nang, it is none the less surrounded by small restaurants and access to town is quick and easy and walkable.

Really enjoyed staying here as it's a good location in Ao Nang. A short walk from all bars, market stalls and street food (which is better than the restaurants) and not too far from the beach. The staff were lovely and the housekeeping service was great too, rooms were totally spotless and smelled amazing! The only problem was that we had booked a double room but when we arrived were given a twin. We were offered a move in two days, it was slightly annoying but the room was in a good location that we decided not to move all our stuff once we were settled.
