“A perfect place to stay.”
Reviewed September 16, 2012 via mobile

Very easy to find (didn't know the area at all). Very welcoming hosts. Mick has a great sense of humour & Jo a great housekeeper & cook. The breakfast was lovely, a full range of cereal, yogurts, juices, cheese & fruit plus a full English & toast. The room was spotlessly clean and the linen smelt lovely & fresh. Toiletries in the ensuite along with fluffy towels. A nice variety of tea, coffee, hot chocolate & milk in cartons in the room, along with homebaked biscuits, or fresh milk in the fridge down in the residents lounge.
Yes, you could call the decor dated but I personally find this more inviting & homely. The big thing for me is always cleanliness & here I couldn't fault it.
We most definately will be returning.

Stayed at the louder 24th &25th August and was pleasantly greeted by the owner and was very happy and chatty which is nice and our 4 yr old boy seemed to be taken by him which made me giggle. Our room had a double bed and bed for our son which was fine and our bathroom was on the larger side as it was a family room and
the beds were comfy enough . Breakfast was at 8 til 9 and you placed your order the night before as to what you desired and what time ? The breakfast time could do with maybe up to 9.30 really ? But everything was cooked from strach which is better and tasty. This hotel is a couple of miles out from lincoln which was fine for us as we were visiting family , there is a few shops opposite called the forum and a Tesco express which was handy if you needed something in a emergency ? And there was a really big sainsburys not far away to . So I would recommend this hotel if you want something cosy and friendly.

A great welcome, hosts and room. Very clean and fresh. Tasty breakfast. Enjoyed the home made cookies put in room. I would stay again. Will make sure family and friends have hotel contact. I was in a single room. I felt very safe and relaxed. Hotel is ideally situated for pottering into Lincoln.

The Loudor was recomended by a family member who lives close by and on booking it was obvious that Mike was a character with a good sense of humour . This proved true on arrival as he is a very good host who can talk about anything and is very helpful. We had room 9 at the rear which was very quiet and got the afternnon sun. The lounge is well stocked with books of all types including guides and maps of the area , the dining room very light and a good quality breakfast was eaten both days , the full english with Lincolnshire sausages went down well . The location was excellent for us and the arcade of shops called the Forum was a bonus too. With a Tesco express , 2 bakers ,newsagent et all there is all anyone could need. The hospitalty stands out though before anythin else .Well done Mike . Will stay again soon for sure.

Room Tip: light sleepers might like a room at the back .

I stayed with my daughter in a twin room at the Loudor. The room was clean and comfortable, but the decor was bit outdated. The room had a spacious en-suite shower room which was spotless, but not luxurious. The owners were extremely friendly and willing to do anything to please. The room rate included a fabulous breakfast of everything from cereal to a full english. The owners cater extremely well for vegetarians. Over all fantastic value for money.

We stayed one night only, for the airshow at Waddington, last Friday night. Had a great stay. Easy to find, very welcoming hosts, nice room with home-made biscuits, fab breakfast and very close to Lincoln. If we go back to that area, we would definitely stay there again and I suppose the most important thing is that it is good value for money!
