This is quite an odd place to behold; we booked via Booking.Com and paid 75eu B&B, which was the standard rate. Despite being in the centre of the town, which is quite unremarkable, parking is easy, on the road or alternatively in the church car park opposite. The outside of the property is authentic country French, and the entrance using a numeric key, is by way of a pair of old double doors to what presumably was once a carriage archway. Our room was large, very fancy archetypal french decor, but aside from the necessities had no other amenities. So this isn't the place for you if you're gadget minded, can't do without WIFI, or want to catch up on satellite TV news.
We ate dinner at the restaurant down the road, which was fine - 19EU for a basic 3 course meal and went to bed early to read a book. Breakfast is taken in a small wood panelled dining room, the food was standard French fare, but plentiful and distinctively good - well presented, with lovely home made preserves and cake.
All in all a pleasant stop - and welcoming, if your schoolboy french isn't up to it - like mine, your hostess is very polite with a good command of English.
