This is exactly what I needed at the end of my 10 days in Sri Lanka. The hotel was comfortable and close to the airport. My breakfast was very good. The staff were very polite and most accommodating of my late check-in. All in all a good place to stay when you've either just landed or on your last day before departing.

Very close to the international airport, airport pick up easy and efficient. Friendly staff, room was clean and ok. Only issue is a very noisy environment which made the night very short...
Good breakfast

Arriving late at night in Colombo it was lovely to see a smiling face waiting for me. Manoj, the Innkeeper does a suburb job welcoming people to his country. His home is just a five minute drive from the airport and when you walk in you are immediately transported to another world...one filled with amazing antiques and one that felt like a different era. I was immediately served a cup of the famous Ceylon tea just before bed.

Our room was huge, as was the bathroom and everything was clean and well kept. Manoj ended up arriving transport for our six day journey around SL at a very competitive rate. Also noteworthy is the computer he has set up in the sitting room for guest convenience. Rates, are great and one leaves looking forward to their return visit.

I stayed here during a one-night layover between flights at Colombo (CMB) airport. I usually stay at another B&B in the area (the Neo Holiday Home), but it was full on this occasion.

Manoj, the young manager, is very helpful and accommodating and will go out of his way to ensure you are comfortable and have what you need, no matter what the time of day. The hotel is quite new, with lovely decor including really nice ceramic floor tiles. The rooms are of average size but quite well equipped, with free internet, aircon and cable TV (over 200 channels, but I could only find a couple that were English speaking, including Russian TV). An electric jug would have been really good, but alas there wasn't one. The ensuite bathrooms are massive and well equipped, although the warm water in the shower.has poor pressure.

Location is the hotel's weak point, and this is why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It's at the end of the runway, and if the wind is blowing from the East you will hear a lot of noise from large jetliners taking off at all times of the day and night. Also, the only way you can get there is by taxi at an average cost of USD 10 each way, so this makes an excellent rate for the hotel look a little less good. And getting into Colombo by bus is a near impossibility (at least for ordinary mortals), but there is a good bus service to Negombo (a bustling fishing port) from right outside the door for 20 c each way.

So would I stay here again. Of course, but only if the Neo is not available.

Room Tip: One equipped with ear muffs.

One of the key ingredients of the success of any hotel, indeed, any business, is the commitment of the owner to customer service. Manoj, the owner of Kazzava, exemplifies this in every respect. He made every effort to be helpful, kind, and accommodating to my every need and want.

I selected this Villa for my first night in Sri Lanka because of the value and the close proximity to the airport. After exploring and scuba diving the country, I selected it for my last night as well.

The Sri Lankan food, particularly the Kothu Rotti, which Manoj makes, is delicious. The surroundings are peaceful, tranquil, and serene. Free wifi in every room makes it so hassle-free for the modern traveler. Easy airport pickup and transfer couldn't be better. I wish there was a Kazzaa Villa and Manoj in every city I visit. This is a tremendous value!

Manoj who runs the property was most welcoming and accommodating. My flight was delayed, which meant my friend who I was supposed to be meeting at the airport was stranded. I called Manoj who went and picked her up immediately from the airport and she was able to have some food and sleep before he dropped her back at the airport that evening for my arrival before we moved on to the South of the island. He really willingly saved the day! Also we stayed at this property on our last night prior to flying home in the morning. The villa is beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. Manoj asked us what we would like to eat and made the effort to ensure we ate what we had asked for. He also gave us a little going away gift of hand-carved elephants- a perfect end to an excellent stay and holiday!

Room Tip: We were able to choose from 3 rooms to suit our needs.
