We chose to go by long tail boat as opposed to the speedboat which would've have been quicker. I'm glad we did as it is far more 'Thai'. Our first stop was Lading Island which is very small but the sea is warm and clear and the outcrops striking. Next stop was the Hong Island lagoon which has it own beauty and then on to Hong Island which is unfortunately a bit crowded - though understandably so as it is lovely. A short walk around the island revealed some eerie sites from the Tsunami. Spectacular trip!

We took a long tail from our hotel (Nakamanda), at 1700 baht for our family of 4 (2 adults 2 kids). The beach is clean & the water is clear. We had fun there. Only regret is I forgot to bring some sand castle building toys for my kids.

Another tip is you should wear your swimming gears before heading to the island because it's not very convenient to change your attire in a bathroom with wet & dirty floor.

Entrance fee: 200 bath/adult

Good trip but we suggest to go early morning to take the best spot cause the beach can get crowded towards the afternoon. Also, bring bread if you want to feed the fish. :) You have to pay park fees. :)

We visited here on Valentines Day and got a private long tail boat from our hotel. A little tip - go as early as you can. We arrived around 9.20am and were virtually the only people here. The beach and water were lovely and the views around with the high limestone rocks were truly stunning. By 10am more and more people had arrived and it was impossible to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this place. We left soon afterwards as more and more boats arrived and I imagine it gets more and more crowded throughout the day.

We went on a trip with a speed boat as a part of a group. The islands are very beautiful, but there were a lot of boats and tourists (we went in the begining of the high season). It was supposed to be a snorkeling trip, but I wouldn't really agree that it was, there wasn't much to look at in the water. Still worth it, though, because of the beautiful beaches and great views, but don't expect great snorkeling. Going by speedboat was fun. We paid 1000 bath each, incl. water and lunch which was good.
