“Whats happened?”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

Its certainly gone down hill the food is plain and boring. My partner ordered the Nasi Goring when it arrived it was dry and tasteless. No satay sauce and no soya sauce used in the preparation. When we asked the waitress she said it should be underneath the rice ? To be fair she did offer to get us another one but who can wait around all day to have a meal re made . I ordered chicken and mushroom pancakes. The obviously came out of a package and where stale No chicken in the pancakes but cheese? It seems they have a new chef and the rumour is a new owner has taken over. I believe the last chef had Dutch connections and obviously thats why the food was so good and with a heavy dutch slant as y other half is dutch that is why we used to visit. Sadly we wont be visiting again

“Shabby but not chic..”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

This place used to be fascinating to visit with the added bonus of a cafe with great food. Sadly it has taken a turn for the worse - the interesting architectural features have mainly gone leaving it looking more like a scrap yard. The service in the cafe was very slow and the tables so dirty that it put me off ordering food. I couldn't work out if the place had been taken over recently or if it has the same owners who have hit on hard times..... All things considered, a grim experience.Such a shame.

“very bad”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

After visiting willow pool garden centre today I will not be paying a return visit. There is one lovely little nik nak shop right at the entrance to the garden centre and thats the only good thing about it, it is so run down and there is nothing to see. The tea rooms is a number of old fairground stslls of which one had a heater, we went inside and took a seat, there was one waitress on duty and another couple of customers at another table. The waitress saw us and went off somewhere, 25 mins later and we are still sat there with no menu, not even offered a drink. It was like the Marie celeste. So we left and went elsewhere. Not what it used to be .

“a real dissapointment”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

Visited willow pool today for lunch , waited for 15 minutes in one of the carousels without being aknowleged by the staff. It was very quiet too not as busy as i have seen it on previous visits. As i did not recieve any service i can not comment on the standard of the food. I left and took my custom elsewhere.

“Great staff and cakes”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

Shame this place is rapidly going downhill it used to be a must to visit with so many interesting and unusual things to see and buy.
Now there is only a skeleton staff in the restaurant trying to keep the place going what a shame. Hope someone takes the whole place over soon and turns it around before its too late.
