Description: The Crown is situated on the outskirts of the village of Lymm, in Cheshire and has recently undergone a major refurbishment after the purchase of the building by JWLees in December. The refurbishment has restored the popular local to its former glory and it now takes its place as one of six pubs across the Cheshire countryside run by the Broadoak pub company. Just half a mile from Lymm Dam, there are many beautiful country walks nearby. The pub is modern with a relaxed but traditional ambiance and a real open fire in the bar area, it is the perfect place to unwind with family and friends over a bottle of wine from our extensive selection. We boast an attractive beer garden and our dining area accommodates approximately 50 covers. Our food menu is sourced from local business to give you the best in fresh food.Come and visit this Lymm gem soon and you will be warmly welcomed by Karen and the teams . Sky Sports & BT are also available for all your sporting interests in the bar area.

My friends and I often meet at the Crown for our tea. Whilst the standard of the food can be inconsistent on our last visit at the end of July we all commented on the improved quality of the food and were informed they had a new chef. We went today for lunch and after a long wait, the pub was almost empty, had to send the food back as it was inedible. We received sincere apologies and our money was refunded by the manager. We were again informed that they had a new chef! So what is going on here? Has the chef changed again?

Lovely looking pub, its been refurbished over the years and has finally found a look that suits it well.

Sadly, the staff and food could do with a little more work.

Whilst this is a local for me, its somewhere I only go to meet with friends due to its location. Personally for me, that's the only thing its got going for it. Its the only pub on the long top road of Lymm, and its a halfway point between Lymm, Statham and Thelwall.

On the occasions that we've been most recently, the drinks seem as well priced as they can be for a pub in lymm, and the foods been alright.

On our most recent visit on May 17th, we were advised there was a half an hour food wait at 8.30, not too much of a big deal. When we went to order our food at 9.10pm, we were told the kitchen was closed, and the manager wouldn't even sort us a bowl of chips out. He was CONVINCED that the menu told us what time the kitchen closed... yet even after giving him the menu to show us this, he couldn't find it himself, but offered no apology, or nothing of good will.

We left quickly and headed over to Café Salar, who serve until 10pm and were happy to welcome us with an added 10% discount on drinks.

Won't be rushing back to eat here again.

Ate there last for an evening snack, after many incarnations the quality struggles along with too much of the portion / cost control in evidence. Please could they introduce a format the locals will support in droves rather than the way it had lurched from pillar to post since the big refurbishment which improved the place beyond recognition. Quality management of a professional standard are what is needed to lift it.

The pub has improved so much over the last year, now with sky sports not a lot more I could ask for! Cheap burger and drink deal during the game, friendly staff and down to earth people eating! Just a standard pub with pub grub! Now it's flame grill obviously the 'food police' are out and complain over bacon! If you want a nice family night out, cheap and affordable, the crown is defiantly the place to come! And I mean come on, 2 for 9.95! Get over your selfs! IT'S A PUB!!
