“Very, very busy pub but good”

Busy pub as really the only one in the village. Service was good and food delicious. Was very noisy but we visited over Easter so understandable.

“A Warm Friendly Welcome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2014

We travelled down from London for a long weekend by the sea in East Preston. After having a look around the village at the many establishments we found this lovely cozy place. The bar staff and manager/landlord were extremely welcoming and we highly impressed by their wide range of beverages too! Everything from 'Kirin' from Japan to 'Peroni' from Italy to 'Estrella Damm' from Barcelona plus your usual Carling and Guinness plus a fine selection of bottled beers from around the world and a couple of local ales too.

The ales (Hammerpot, a lovely local drop, and Betty Stogs from Cornwall plus a revolving weekly guest ale) were extremely well kept and I was informed upon asking the landlord that a professional ale enthusiast comes in twice a week to check and settle the barrels ready for drinking!

The bar also serves pizzas on Wednesday evenings and Sunday daytimes plus rolls and 'grazing boards' etc from the Deli (The Clockhouse Deli) next door.

They also had live music on the Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

A fantastic place that ticks EVERY box in my book!
