I stayed for four nights with a colleague and it was like a home from home. Our hosts Roger and Jaqui were very amenable and made us feel very welcome. The chef Andy creates the most magical food by far some of the best meals i've ever had whilst staying away,(although Jaqui knocks up a mean cheese on toast). The locals are very friendly and are keen to include you in their banter, but best of all was Reevesy and his friend Roos, they are an unlikely duo but had me in stitches.
A big thank you to everyone at The Seaview for making my week so memorable,I will be back.
Phil and Jack.

The Seaview Hotel is in need of refurbishment but that does not detract from really excellent, value for money, food, both lunch and dinner. Specials of the day are wide ranging and average, 'mains' at £11 and 'starters' £6. The standard of cooking and presentation is well above what you expect on entering the somewhat dismal main enterance. Staff are friendly, combining the role of barman and waiter. Without fail you will come away feeling that you have had excellent value. One problem, when busy, particularly summer weekends, there can be quite a wait but they do warn you before you order. Good outside eating area when the weather is suitable.
No knowledge of the small number of hotel rooms but we consider the Seaview a restaraunt not a hotel.

Room fine for the price and was clean, view of sea, bathroom smelt musty even though clean. But asked it wanted breakfast on arrival - said no but ended up having to pay for it in the end because landlady became agumentative about how she could have let the room several times over with others who would have had the breakfast. Gave in vs spoil my whole weekend.

This is a pub with rooms and it doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't. We stayed here as we were attending an event at a local golf club. Our room was satisfactory although the light/fan in the bathroom was very noisy - very dated but clean although the sink had a large crack in it. The location is great for the beach and they have a nice beer garden. Breakfast the next morning was good. Good value for a b&b in a pub.

A friend and I went for lunch on Tuesday 18 September. Before ordering we asked if the beefburgers were homemade. We were told they were not but as good as. So my friend ordered one.

She said she could not eat it, it had a metallic taste, and had obviously been frozen. She left it on top of the plate but even when our plates were removed, the "waiter" did not remark upon it.

Most restaurants would have asked if there was anything wrong. In fact, the staff (three men) seemed to avoid looking in our direction. On settling the bill, I told them that the burger was unedible and one man replied that 90% of their food is fresh (but obviously not the burgers),

On leaving I remarked to the man who was in charge that at least he could have said sorry we did not enjoy the meal, and even lied if need be ,say that nobody else had complained, etc etc. But without looking at me, he just said, yeah, yeah, yeah.

I will not take visitor here again, staff do not care!

Would stay here again, had all we needed. Parking, quiet room, roof terrace area, view of the sea (good for nice days drink and ciggy) fab breakfast, clean, coffee, tea in room and tv. Only drawback was loo, (electric) so have to flush quite a few times and noisy (wouldn't want to have dodgy tummy!!!) Beach is a stones throw down lane and not as packed as Brighton, or Littlehampton. Although it's a pub not rawdy so don't have to go far for a bevie if fancied. Nice little town with bars, take-away and a few restaurants and newsagent. They're doing a deal at mo. 2nights for 1 (during the week) Look forward to going again for a break.

Room Tip: All rooms looked nice, but get one without electric flushing toilet (if they have one?)

Yes it's a B&B, a bed and a breakfast. We were visiting my brother who live local to the Seaview. The room were very clean but dated as was the pub. The service is friendly and the breakfast was nice too. With a little money spent it could be a prefect place. It location is great and the weather is good in this area.
