We are a family of six and this was our first proper camping trip.
We also took our 2 dogs.

We stayed for 2 nights in a large tent you can set up wherever you like which is good.

This campsite is very basic but kept very clean and tidy in a great location right on the river.
We had a campfire on the ground both nights, the owners supply logs if needed (£6 a bag)

We had no bother sleeping at night the noise levels are kept to a minimum this site is very relaxed and friendly.

We had a brilliant time here and we will definitely be returning in the near future!
Thank you tresseck

Ruined by large groups . Webpage seemed to suggest that it would be a quiet back to nature tranquil site but there are no rules about groups and the quietness at 10pm was a joke . Don't go here if you want to sleep

We're very sorry to hear this. We do have a strict policy around noise after 10am, so we're very disappointed to hear this was not your experience. We had a very busy Bank Holiday that weekend (assuming that's when you stayed) and like all other campsites in the area we had a lot of people staying.

The campsite is typically a quiet peaceful place, and our guests comments have reflected this in our other reviews. So again, apologies that this was not what you experienced. Please be in contact and we will provide you with a free pitch as means of compensation and so that you can see how the site is like normally.

We stayed two night in camper. Camp fires are allowed, good pub 300 yards across field.

Porta loos are kept spotlessly clean, no showers but a fresh dip in the river wakes you up!

Excessive noise from other campers is well policed by owners.

Clean tidy and well run at favourable rates in quiet village.

Canoe launch is down a small embankment but easily manageable.

Will definitely return!

Returned for the tenth year running for our family & friends weekend on the River Wye. Stunning location, superb owners, great that we can have open fires too. The facilities are basic but always clean. Highly recommend for family groups. See you in 2019.

A great, clean and tidy campsite where we stayed for one night. Perfect for canoeing. We had take away fish and chips from the pub up the road which were tasty but pricey (£9). Jeff went out of his way to help us blow up our air beds after our pump broke - thank you very much!
