Michelle is a very welcoming host and couldn't have been more helpful. She even baked a cake for my partner's 50th birthday.
We enjoyed the pool and spa after a day kayaking. The views are beautiful.
The rooms were very clean with nice touches such as lovely toiletries and bathrobes.
The food was absolutely delicious - better than a lot of restaurants we have been to.
The décor wasn't really to my tastes but that is entirely personal and such a minor point compared to all the great things about this place.

We spent two glorious nights at Tirimoana House and wished it could have been more. Lovely room with excellent view, great breakfasts. Michelle and Chris made us most welcome and we had dinner in both nights which was excellent. We would love to go back.

We recently stayed in Tirimoana House which is in a lovely position on the Marlborough Sounds near Picton. Michelle, who runs it, was friendly and helpful and her catering was faultless. As the only two there at the beginning of the season it was catering by request, and she is a very very good cook. The room was comfortable with a balcony overlooking the water. (It gets 4 and not 5 stars only because the bathroom we had was tiny.)

We stayed here for 3 nights over Christmas and would thoroughly recommend this warm and welcoming BnB as a perfect place to stay.

The location is useful both for the Queen Charlotte's track, as well as people exploring the Marlborough region. The incredible scenery and feeling of being away from it all is truly amazing. Try drive to Tirimoana in daylight hours as a it's a brilliantly windy route with a great look out across the water.

The rooms are charming, most with their own balcony giving a great view across the water - an ideal spot for morning coffee or a sundowner bottle of wine (we enjoyed both); as well as keeping an eye out for dolphins. There's also a pool and spa which is very useful for easing muscles after a cycle or walk.

Whilst the facilities are luxurious and the location is spectacular, it's the host that really makes this BnB special. As three friends travelling over Christmas we really appreciated how welcome Michelle made us feel. Michelle was extremely accommodating and kind, and it's all her little touches that you notice and which make an impact.

Christmas dinner was an absolute feast (in fact, all the meals were fantastic) and every effort was made to create a memorable Christmas. It was a truly family-oriented experience and we had a wonderful evening picking up excellent local travel tips from Michelle and her family.

As one of the family members mentioned during dinner "What you remember from your travels is the people you meet" - and after staying at Michelle's we thoroughly agree.

We would definitely recommend Tirimoana house!

Room Tip: The en-suite bathrooms were perfect for us (we are three small-ish women), but anyone tall or large...

Stayed here for three nights over Christmas here at this B&B and was truly one of our best experiences in NZ. Michelle and Chris made our Christmas special with their food, family, and hospitality. Room was comfortable with plenty of room and a great shower! We were lucky to get an upgrade to the best room in the B&B, bascially. While most of our time was spent 45 min away in Blenheim, we didn't mind the drive as the views are gorgoeus. We highly recommend this B&B to anyone--the food, comfort and ambience are all amazing and worth the trip.

Recently under new management, we received a warm welcome from Michelle who has been running Tirimoana House since last Jan. The location is absolutely beautiful although a good 30 mins away from the nearest town/cafe/restaurant. The food was good. The only disappointing aspect was the size of the ensuite bathroom in our room (one of the smallest). Quite difficult to navigate and the water pressure was low. The other aspects made up for this however and we'd recommend a stay at this stunning location.

Stayed here for one night for our visit to the Marlborough winery next day. Stayed in many hotels, motels, B&Bs and this has been one of my best experiences from every aspect. Had the sunrise suite which is the best room here with an amazing view into Okiwa Bay.
The room had a nice balcony you can sit out and enjoy the view with a good glass if wine which they can supply you with. Took a bottle back to the room after being served a lovely home cooked dinner and the hosts kindly gave us a good discount on the bottle as it was opened and used just a little.
Everything about the place was elegant, tasteful and cosy, you will want to stay here longer!
Gourmet breakfast was very good and worth the spend as with dinner. Michelle and Chris are attentive and wonderful hosts.
