We had a fantastic stay at Father's guesthouse. Valerie and Bella welcomed us and looked after us well. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable and overall the place had a lovely friendly feel to it. It is also perfectly located for the town with some great little restaurants very close and an excellent starting point for the local treks. We went with Jason who was an excellent guide and we had a brilliant time from start to finish ! We will be going back there some day !!

We had a wonderful time in the Cameron Highlands and our stay at Father's Guesthouse was perfect.
We stayed 3 nights in a large double room with bathroom, in March 2013.
The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, the guesthouse itself is lovely and rooms are very clean. Good location. Tea and coffee are available free. WiFi is free and fast!
We booked “Mossy forest” tour directly from Father's Guesthouse. Very friendly guide with lots of knowledge. Visited tea plantation and butterfly farm (recommend to get quick overview). After that you can discover CH on your own.
A great stay and definitely recommend this place to others!

We had an amazing time up in the Cameron Highlands and our stay at Father's Guesthouse was perfect. We stayed for 2 nights in a double room (S4) with fan, shared toilets and paid 100 per night (it cost a little extra as it was over the Easter Weekend, usual price is 80) the room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Clean toilets/showers are located on each floor and are shared with the other rooms, hot water is available 24/7 at a flick of a switch. The only downside to the room was that the view out the windows was of construction work…. But thankfully during our stay we didn’t hear anyone working at all!

Tea and Coffee are available FREE 24/7, it would have been nice if a basic breakfast was included... But you can find lots of places to eat only a 5min walk away.

WiFi is FREE and fast! You need to be a bit of a codebreaker to figure it out (you will see) they also have a computer for guest to use and this is also FREE.

You can buy drink at reception. Fantastic price as well… Small cans of beer 5 (chang) if you fancy buying a bottle of wine or spirit then you will find a great shop in town that stocks all sorts of beers and alcohols.

Stuff are fantastic. Happy to help in any way possible and give advice on tours, hikes, shops etc. etc.... Great atmosphere about the place and the location is central.

We booked a Sunrise tour directly with Father's Guesthouse and paid 65 each. Nice and early start at 6am. Picked up by the guide 'Spencer' in his Land Rover, very friendly guide with LOTS of knowledge on the local area. We drove up the mountain and found a perfect spot to watch the sun rise over the tea plantations.... Sadly it was a rather cloudy day and we didn't get the, yellow yoke sun, but it was still a magical experience.... Also included in the tour is a mountain drive, nature walk (one of the highlights, Spencer knows his stuff) tea tour and then the strawberry farm. Got back from the tour about 12pm so its great value for money!!

Overall a great stay and will be recommending this place to others... They also have another guesthouse called 'Gerard's Place' that has some amazing reviews on tripadvisor.

P.s we got the BUS from KL (coast 35) and we walked to the guesthouse from the station. Very easy and only takes about 10min max. You can also get a taxi for about 6 and if you are there during the weekend make sure you go to the NIGHT MARKET in the nearby town. AMAZING food!!!

Room Tip: We had room S4. Double bed with lots of space. The other rooms that have smaller doubles seem VERY s...

this is newly built, lovely designed hotel/hostel with many spacious verandas and terraces just a minute walk from the centre. Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean, comfy and wiselly organised. I'd recommend Fathers also for a single point-of-contact to book local trips and excursions as well as bus tickets to other destinations in Malaya. Did I mention you get as many free cups of excellent local tea and the coffee as you wish for free and a powerful wo-fi access?

Pros: Very welcoming and friendly. Fast reply on emails. Double room really clean, comfortable and good size. In the common are there are sofas to meet other people. Complimentary tea and coffee. They did not push the tours. Very good location, on a quiet little street, still not far away from the main street and hiking trails. Cons. At that weather warm showers, not lukewarm, would be nice. Soap would be nice in the bathrooms. Walls are thin, so your sleep is based on your luck of next door neighbors or people playing games in the common area.

Overall, good value.
Bring slippers, floor is super cold and shoes are not allowed.
Do not go to the Butterfly Garden on the Mozzy forest tour!! If you like animals at all, this place should be forced to close. Dead and almost dead animals and insects in tiny cages, all the butterflies had damaged wings. Even our guide refused to go in, but said their company wants to keep it as part of the tour, cos other tour providers have it as well.

It is exactly what you can expect from a hostel like that, fair value for your money.
Very good support by the friendly staff, very helpful when it comes to organizing day tours.
I would go there again!

nice guesthouse with very friendly owners. I booked for 2 days and finally stopped for 5 nights =) stayed in the dormitory, bed's were very comfy, you don't need a sleeping bag, you get a free blanket (sometimes get's quite freezing at night!). I booked the mossy forest tour through the guesthouse, which put out to be a very good decision. great guide! a really nice place i can recommend a lot!
