nice guesthouse with very friendly owners. I booked for 2 days and finally stopped for 5 nights =) stayed in the dormitory, bed's were very comfy, you don't need a sleeping bag, you get a free blanket (sometimes get's quite freezing at night!). I booked the mossy forest tour through the guesthouse, which put out to be a very good decision. great guide! a really nice place i can recommend a lot!

Stayed 3 nights in a large double with ensuite. When making the booking Gerard ensured a ground floor room so my knee could cope. Bed was exceptionally comfortable and Gerard and staff went out of their way to find my 'perfect matching' pillow. The shower has good pressure with very hot water. The establishment is very clean with free tea and coffee, free use of computer and wifi. Relaxing garden areas to enjoy a cold beer after a long day. Lots of parking for our hire car. Gerard truly epitomises the gracious host. Thoroughly recommend.

Room Tip: W5 if you wish a ground floor double ensuite

We stayed here for two nights. We had a double room with two windows! Our room was spacious!

There was a bathroom nextdoor, a shared room but good and clean! With hot shower.

The staff is really nice. We booked a trip and when we came back they askleurig how it was! Really nice and sincere.

We stayed here 3 nights in a big double room with bathroom.

We absolutely loved this place! Gerard is a great host and you really feel the hospitallity of him and all the staff!

The Hostel is located convienently close in the towncenter of Tanah Rata but not on the main road. We took the Mossy Forest Tour and enjoyed it as well very much.

Sleep quality was soso. Everywhere in the Cameron Highlands there is a high humidity so all your stuff (and the bed sheets) are kind of dump. Furthermore the neighbour's dogs and cock are making a lot of noise during the night so earplugs are essencial!! Beds are comfy.

Father's is a great place to meet people and especially travelers from western countries. They have games for passing the afternoon, free tea and coffee, wifi and computers... everything you need!

Small suggestion to the Father's Guesthouse: Maybe a possibility to dry towls and wet clothes for the guest (a drying room?) and to advise the cleaning lady to give the tiles in the bathroom from time to time a more "in depth scrubb"... Besides from that the rooms were crisp and clean, don't get it wrong.

We fully recommend this nice place!

I was here two nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The mixed dorm was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Sheets and blanket were provided. It was a great value and location. There's free wifi as well as coffee and tea in the lobby. It's very close to all the restaurants, but not on the main road, so a bit more quiet. It was highly recommended in my Footprints guide, and I agree.

Room Tip: People in the dorm were very considerate and quiet, so no need to get a private room.

We stayed only 2 nights in early Feb but would have liked to stay longer. The rooms are basic and clean, wifi was ok but if you are coming to the Cameron Highlands to stay inside why bother. The best part about the highlands is going out and trekking!
Jason is his name and trekking is his game. With preferential treatment to guests at Fathers, Jason is the ONLY trekking guide in the highlands. During our first night we heard from some of the guests how great their trek was that day and immediately booked ours with Jason the following day. We were the only two trekkers that day with made for a very personal trekking experience and man did we learn a lot! The trek itself was around 7 hours going through tea fields and local settlements. Jason lives and breathes the highlands and obviously can't recommend him enough.

The house is right in the middle of town with everything less than a 5 minute walk away.

Thank you Jason and staff. We had a great time!
