Firstbof all we have to say that almost all the hotels in Cameron highlands are more or less in the same bad shape.
This hotel looks nice from outside but inside it is old and a little bit smelly.
The room we had was very humid, the humidity extractor in the bathroom didn't work and the room was all full of mould.
The breakfast was below average especially considering that this hotel calls itself a 4 star!!!
I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Took a few days off to visit one of my favorite places in Malaysia, Cameron Highlands. Quick internet booking of hotel through their website was efficient. Prices almost 50% discounted from walk-in rates. Took two deluxe rooms with garden attached. Rooms were very spacious and airy. King size beds were totally relaxing. Toilets equally spacious and clean. TV channels were ample though would be such a waste to stay indoors in such a cool climate. Convenient located at the periphery of Tanah Rata and not more than 5 minutes walk to food, groceries and shops. A short 8 minutes drive to Bringchang were dinner options are aplenty, cheap and good. Steamboat fans are spoilt for choice here. There's a nice park just a stone's throw from the hotel with swings and slides for kids to go crazy and parents to relax. Did I mention that the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful? Security was also good and wi-fi available at restaurant area. Breakfast was more than adequate with a good mixture of local and western fare. Will surely return as prices of bungalows sky rocketing and apartments are rather inconveniently further from everything else. By the way, the sweet corn sold along the roadside just before equatorial hotel can be eaten raw and is super sweet. Journey from Singapore (via Tuas) was about 7 hours (not speeding). Took the Simpang Pulai new road to CH (beware of police trap before the Smpg Pulai exit. Took the old road coming down and saved about 25 mins. Also where the durian sellers are located. Durians are great at RM5 per fruit. Have fun.

Room tip: Deluxe rooms with garden offers space for the kids to run loose but fear not as a fence runs around the garden making it safe yet cosy.

Miserable breakfast service, doesnt hold up to 4-star rating. However the rooms are nice and roomy and in a rather decent condition. Doesnt provide in room WiFi, connection to the lobby WiFi didnt work either.

Be warned: The hotel is in direct proximity to a Mosque and walls relect the noise directly into the (cheaper rooms) where it will be extremely loud since windows are of poor quality and will not protect you from blaring loudspeakers. During our stay we had the misfortune to have a 2 hour (8pm - 10pm) lecture broadcasted to the world at top volume (overpowering even a modestly loud TV) and then were woken up at 5:30 by a prayer session lasting until 7am sharp. Not the best idea for a refreshing holiday or weekend getaway. There are much better options available in Cameron Highlands for the same or lesser money.

Staff refused to accept the complaint letter about this, reception lied to us about the duration of the prayer sessions when asked and stated a duration of 15 min which would have been fine because you have to consider others as well. But when 15 minutes turn into 90 min then that is just wrong.

When we complained at reception they admitted that they knew all about it but decided to not offer a different room since they were rather full. After much pushing and written complaints the managements claims they never heard of any complaints on this and we could have simply swapped rooms since they were basically empty that night. The staff is lying through their teeth and could not even be made to simply say sorry. THE WORST HOTEL EVER. Avoid at all costs!

Thank you for staying at Century Pines Resort , as our hotel is located at the Heart of Tanah Rata , the Prayer is unavoidable especially during the Raya season, this is Malaysia , you see Mosque everywhere , and there are more than 20 hotels and motels around that area . If the complaints would have done on that night , the hotel will change rooms for the guest( provided the hotel is not full) , unfortunately , the complaint came in the next morning .Anyway , the hotel was not full that night , we still have a few rooms on the other side of the building .
We apologise for the inconvenience that caused.

This hotel is really quite good but just needs an update. Having said that, they were painting the rooms all around us so maybe they are starting on an upgrade. I couldn't make an international phone call from the room and had to go to the reception where it was just the phone handed over the counter - not too good. Also, I don't know if the dining room is open for anything but breakfast, which was a little inconvenient for us when it rained for hours one night. I don't think there was any room service. The breakfast was plentiful and hot - something new for hotel breakfasts. The staff were always pleasant and keen to help and seemed to have a working understanding of English.

I would certainly stay there again, the location is perfect.

All in all, I would stay there again.

I stayed there for 1night with my husband and we both thought that the hotel was a bit gloomy. The rooms were damp and cold. Breakfast was one good thing about the hotel, they had lot of varieties.
It has a spa inside the hotel which was another good thing. I had a spa treatment late at night and then could just retire in my room. Overall an okay place for the money you pay.
