the hotel really up to our expectation, really good service.we check in,in less than 10 minutes, superbly fast. the view inside our superior w/garden room also really nice. very cozy and refreshing. so near to ammenities, even the police station is just 5minutes walking if you want to report or in case of emergency. also near to the cameron highland general hospital.

We checked into a deluxe room which was quite comfortable but you had to keep the window close, it's right next to the main road entering Tanah Rata.
As it was school holidays the hotel was jampacked with families and that made it very noisy from the upstairs rooms.
The TV remote was missing, after we got that the TV didn't work properly and no international channel, nobody wanted to do something about it.
The breakfast restaurant is a nightmare, overcrowded with empty food stations and unwaited tables, we stopped going there after the first day.
As it rains 50% of the time in Tanah Rata and gets quite chilly we wanted to use the gym and the sauna and wanted a spa treatment.
The sauna would have been extra charged with 7US$ p pax!but it was not working as nobody could find the missing knob for the temperature selector.
The steering electronics at the gym's machines were broken by kids playing on it.
The lady in front of the spa didn't have a clue about her own catalog so we didn't book anything.
The hotel does not provide diner facilities so we had to go out in lousy weather to eat in semi open sidewalk restaurants.
Free wifi in public areas was ok.

Laughably, this hotel was decribed as 'top end' in the lonely planet guide. The hotel may well have been once upon a time. It is tired and dated. The room my partner and I were given was quite large and had a lovely view of a building site and staff quarters from our 5th floor balcony.
The bedsheets were noticeably dirty and we found a hair in the bed, we asked for all to be changed whilst we went out to eat. Upon our return we found that they had only remade the bed with the same sheets. After calling down to reception again a man came to our room and said he had already changed them, even though my partner pointed out that the rogue hair was still in the same place! He changed them whilst I supervised his work.
Other than that the hotel is unremarkable and I am left with the feeling that I may as well have paid for one of the many cheaper options available in Tanah Rata.

I'm from Singapore and I drove up a few times already.
Stayed here once.

Very value for money
Quite spacious room
Beautiful pine tree garden and large field downstairs.
Room has nice view of field and playground.
Very ample parking space.
Breakfast is buffet style very filling.
Very conveniently near to amenities at Tanah Rata

Looks a little bit run down, but not as bad as Equatorial, that was expensive and run down, this is in good condition and quite cheap rates. I don't mind.

Tanah Rata is a more quiet and clean town, more peaceful unlike Brinchang which is a mad mess at night and lots rubbish along the road.

As far as I know the major bus companies do not stop here. Must drive or special arrangement.

This is our fourth time staying here. Obviously the hotel does not keep track of their yearly 'regulars' otherwise they will be more helpful. We had problems getting into our room and after 30 minutes and twice visiting the reception, it was confirmed that there's problem with the door lock software. Meanwhile we were all standing in the hallway, waiting..... finally got a another room after much insistence. Room was not ready and once again, we stood in the hallway. No one bothered to check how everything was later on. When we asked for late checkout, in view of the really late check in due to the hotel's lack of urgency in settling problems, we were told hotel is full (albeit quite politely). No referral to the Manager at all. Is there even one?! We cannot wait for another hotel to spring up in Tanah Rata, we have just about given up with this one.

We spend there three nights. I liked the room size it was really big and very comfortable. However it was quite cold in the night and internet was horribly slow. It was clean but hotel needs some renovation. The staff was unfriendly and breakfast was rather poor.
My kids loved nearby playground.
