If you want to stay away from the huge resorts, I think Arundina is one of your best options. Location is very good: in a quiet area, yet close to the eateries on the main road. The place is new and spotless clean. The owners are a really nice couple happy to assist with anything you need. The rooms are modern, quite spacious, and equipped with quality furniture - good night sleep guaranteed. The only thing that bothered me a little was that there was no hot water in the bathroom sink and the pillows were a little too tall (I realize this is very subjective). Overall, Arundina is a great choice.

Arundina-Guesthouse, Manager at Arundina Cameron Highlands, responded to this reviewResponded October 21, 2013

Dear Mr. Ivo Z,

It was wonderful to accomodate you during your 3 day stay at Cameron Highlands. We are glad that you found the room and furnishings to your liking.

Apologies for the minor inconveniences though. Although we have newly refurbished this old building, we could not replace certain main internal structures to install central water heating. Hence, we have provided high powered, instant water heaters in the shower area.

We are glad you found our bedding to your liking. The mattresses and bed furnishings are of equal standard as those used in 5 star hotels, and is the main reason for the sound sleep experienced by our guests.

Thank you once again for making Arundina your choice, and we hope to have you back the next time around.

Regards, Arundina Team

We arrived here by acident, but it turned out to be a superb "accident"!
Arundina is a lovely place to stay with modern, very clean and spacious rooms. The staff here are very friendly and helpfull, they know the right tours and guides in the area (so we had a great tour into the mossy forest) and can assist you with everything you might need.
Arundina is in a quiet area of the city center but still only two minutes walk from the main road (we likes that very much). There's also a very nice garden where you can sit and relax.
We would definitely recommend this place to you!

we checked in on 12th of Oct, the day of my birthday, for a quick getaway with my wife after we had quite an exhausting round of searching for a comfortable hotel to spent a night (at least!). Most of the hotel/guesthouse that we went thru was either full or totally uncomfortable. As frequent travelers, we set our standard pretty high for a room to stay thats cosy and definitely value for our hard-earned money. We totally fall in love with the place once we stepped in, reminding us to one of the small but warm and welcoming boutique hotel in phuket. The place is clean, the people are friendly, the bed sheet and the toilet are clean, the pillows are super fluffy, the deco are beautiful and neatly arranged. My wife love that little corner they have for books and internet. With free wifi, we dont really need a tv. We decided to spent another night without much thinking. They have a little garden, but still working on it. We know that they are new and still improving. Its a good start for them. Just hoping that they did have a signboard from the main road leading to this hillside gems, somehow reduce the noise, and remain with the same rate even after they had tv and lounge!

Room Tip: room 106 have a balcony and a good view

I stayed a night in Arundina Cameron Highlands which is basically a new "bangalow hotel" and found it to be extremely clean and quiet in a good location. The surroundings were also nice and natural the way I liked it as there is no point in going to Cameron Highlands and stay in a "shoplot" type of hotel. Overall, I enjoyed staying there and wished I could stay for more days. Breakfast was however simple as there is no kitchen in this place but you will get free coffee or tea the whole day from the dispenser..........Would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms are basically quiet but those at the back faces the hills while those in front comes with balcony.

Clean and nice room with a beautiful backyard of the forest behind the building. With the quiet ambiance and cool climate, it's a nice retreat to be at. Located about 5 minutes away from Tanah Rata, access to amenities and food is reachable.
