De'Native Guest House
Reviewed March 15, 2014 via mobile

We stayed for just one night on our way from Kuala Lumpur to Penang. The guest rooms are indeed very basic, but the friendly welcome by Krish, the owner, more than made up for it. The rooms were clean and large enough to sleep comfortably. Krish went out of his way to accommodate us and even got breakfast for us in the early morning.
Can highly recommend this place for people who value a friendly host and meeting fun, like minded travellers over the questionable comfort of much more expensive hotels.

This makes you feel at home abroad and adds the relaxing feeling of holidays. Krish, the host, is more than helpful and a great company for sofa/bonfire sessions in the evening. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, its managed with care.
We had a great time and we are looking forward to coming back!! :)

We stayed at De'Natve for two nights, and wished we could have stayed for longer.

The accommodation has lots of personality and is in very good condition. You have the chance to stay in (weatherproof!) bamboo huts, but these are next to an old colonial house where you can have a hot shower and relax inside. The guest houses are surrounded by greenery, flowers and birdsong, which was incredibly refreshing after the heat and traffic of Kuala Lumpur. It's a short but steep walk (~15 minutes) from the nearest town, but in any case I would suggest bringing a car for the Cameron Highlands to better explore the region.

A particular shout out to Krish and the 'boss', who were exceedingly warm and welcoming hosts. They kindly organised transport for us a couple of times as well as providing introductions to some of the other travellers. If you stay at De'Native, they will ensure you have a relaxing and memorable experience in the Cameron Highlands. I look forward to going back one weekend soon!

This place is ridiculously beautiful, I really love the huts with their native equipment and I will definitely go there again!
The owner, Krish, is the nicest guy ever! He organized us some motorcycles to rent, told us some nice places and joined us at the bonfire in the evening.
If you visit the Cameron highlands, don't miss this perfect guesthouse!
But bring warm clothes, the all bamboo huts are very cool inside.

I stayed here with a few friends on a short Chinese New Year weekend holiday. Krish was a wonderful host who expressed keen desire to take us around only if it were not for his personal commitments requiring him to leave town. However, the day we reached, he drove us to the point from where we had to walk to the falls. The entire area knows this man and talks of his hospitality. There was also a bonfire on the same night right next to his upcoming bar. The experience was fun; we met new people. The cottage was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The only issue we faced was that of hot water. The water heater took a fair bit of time and with 5 people sharing a bathroom, it was a little difficult for us to manage. But nonetheless, the experience was great and it ended with Krish offering us our last meal in Cameron; it was a really sweet gesture.

Well, This was my second trip to Cameron with friends in last 3 months. Last time one of my friend referred De Native Guest house to us and I loved the place so much that this time I took more friends there.
A set of Chalets and Guest House in a peaceful location not so far from Cameron Streets, much cheaper and awesome. We requested for Bone Fire and Mr Ram was so helpful in setting it up for us. A person you must meet here is Mr Krishnan (retired Bank Manager) - he will entertain you with his classic experience of Cameron.
Its a must for all families/couples/solo visitors or anybody who want to see cameron in a peaceful way.
I have a home to stay in cameron now for any visit :)

Room Tip: Make sure you to get in touch with Mr Krishnan or Ram :) They will help you locate the guest house e...
