Decided to get extra calories and had our supper here straight after a heavy dinner in a Chinese restaurant nearby. We thought it was a Mamak shop until we saw the Indian boss. At first we was impressed by the crowd in the large restaurant but realised it was actually two different Indian restaurant in adjacent. Common impression of mine towards Mamak restaurant, both of them did not looked that clean. Anyway, I ordered and shared a piece of cheese nan with a girl friend of mine. I personally think that it was good. We were satisfied of the quick service despite of the crowd. Price was decent. Anyway, the guys were not so impressed by the taste of the tandoori chicken. They claimed that the meat was too tough.

After having enjoyed some of the best tandoori in Malaysia, this place left us rather disappointed.
It is indeed a tourist trap in a town rather short of restaurant choices.
The only upside is that it was cheap, in line with what you expect with tandooris in Malaysia
Avoid it and try elsewhere.

We went to Sri Brinchang for some Indian food and order Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Nasi Briyani. The place was filled with Caucasian tourists but no locals. This should have served as a warning to us.

Anyway, the Tandoori Chicken was burnt on the outside but cold inside (go figure). The Chicken Briyani was not impressive and below average. I don't know what's so good about the food there. Nothing special. Location was nice though.

If you love authentic indian food then this is the place for you. They cook the nan and tandoori t the front of the restaurant in the traditional food fired ovens. The flavours of the Korma, tandoori and sweet and sour fish we had was awesome.

We had a set of chicken tandori with naan bread, rice, salad and 3 sauces - the same as in Kumar yesterday. The chicken was a way better, more tender and more tasty than in Kumar.

Staff is also not so pushy as in the restaurant next door. We will be definitely back there tomorrow for some more flavours.
