We were unlucky with the weather but the fact that we had such a lovely, homely and well equipped cottage it wasn't a problem. Several old harbours in the area; such a shame they aren't working harbours anymore. A lovely break.
Cottage is all newly done out in a tasteful seaside theme, spotlessly clean, a hamper of food very welcoming. Heating effective plus a log burner, plenty of crockery and equipment. Great location in centre of fishing village yards from the harbour, glimpse of sea from the sitting room. Walks along the cliff are well marked and plenty of other harbour villages, castles and small towns to drive to within an hour.
We were met by Jeanette the owner who showed us round and gave us information about the village. Our every comfort was thought of including an amazing welcome hamper. We have stayed in various holiday cottages over the years and can honestly say this was one of the best.
House was delightful, so clean and fresh I thought we were the first visitors. Everything well presented with artistic touch.
Very comfortable with everything you need for self catering . Great welcome hamper.
It was lovely to walk round the harbour at night or early morning.
Photographic opportunities all around, including auroras and rainbow over BowFiddle rock.
Only downside it is fully booked way into the future, so if interested book now, thoroughly recommended.
Booked a week here with my wife. Had a fantastic time. Lovely cottage, stone throw from harbour. Everything we could have needed and a lovely thoughtful gift basket on arrival. Jeanette was on hand to run through the layout. Really had a great, relaxing week. Thanks.
This is a fantastic property - beautifully furnished, well equipped and perfect location. The owner has thought of everything to make your holiday a 5 star experience and provided a great welcome pack to get you started. Cosy living-room with stove to sit in after a day in the great outdoors and very comfy bed to fall into - slept like a log. Good selection of DVDs and games if required, ample leaflets and information on the area. Lots to see like Portknockie, Cullen and Port Soy to name but a few. Close to the harbour and lovely to walk out onto the beach first thing in the morning. Will definitely be back at Harbours Reach.
Harbour Reach cottage is an ideal cosy getaway cottage in Findochty located a few steps away from the harbour. The cottage is beautifully presented, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The owner has used quality items throughout the cottage and provided lots of information of local restaurants and places to visit.
There was even a very useful Welcome Pack provided on arrival.
If you like walking, nature or photography the Moray coastal route is great to follow
with many hidden gems to discover. I especially liked Spey Bay & Findhorn.
