“Romantic weekend break”
Reviewed December 5, 2011 for a stay in October 2011

This little cottage is a beauty! It is cosy, comfy, quirky, intriguing and just delightful! We stayed here for the weekend and had a fabulous time. The area is fantastic for walking, exploring and the scenery is out of this world. I would highly recommend this haven of perfection for any budding holidaymakers out there. The hospitality is the best too :)

“The wonders of Autumn”
Reviewed November 2, 2011 for a stay in October 2011

We enjoyed a perfect Autumn break in the cottage this year. We spent the days exploring the stunning scenery and the evenings gathered around the log burner! The cottage is so warm and comfortable that the sound of the wind outside only added to the experience.
Our family enjoyed a day of fishing and were surprised at the amount of fish to be found so late in the season!
We loved our time inFindochty and have already booked a further break in the summer. I would highly recommend a visit!

“A Lovely Week on the Moray Coast”
Reviewed September 28, 2011 for a stay in September 2011

The cottage and the service were both excellent. The cottage was well equipped, very comfortably and carefully restored so we enjoyed a lovely week. The location was beautiful and peaceful. The village is only a minutes away from amenities by car.

“tranquil and relaxing”
Reviewed August 7, 2011 for a stay in July 2011

We would have no hestitation in reccommending this cottage to family and friends and indeed have already done so. The rates are very reasonable and Clare and Steve really have thought of everything and have not stinted in any way. We brought our dog and there was even a treat for her in the welcome pack!
The situation of the cottage is excellent, in a quiet village, but lots of interseting day trips and walks in the vacinity. We had not been to this part of the country before but will certainly be back and would consider a short break off season in the cottage.

“My family loved staying at this perfect cottage and it would be as enjoyed by couples or single people alike.”
Reviewed August 2, 2011 for a stay in July 2011

We stayed at this cottage for 7 days and we knew that it was going to be very nice before we went but it exceeded our expectations. The cottage itself was faultless, the attention to detail added to the experience of the stay and for once the beds were all very comfy. The location of the cottage was perfect as it was near a small beach but far enough away from the harbour that it was safe for my children to play outside. However, it was in very easy walking distance of the village pub at the other side of the harbour (4-5 minutes walk). It was a perfect location for our family holiday and would also be ideal for anyone looking to do the coastal walks. The owners themselves could not have been more accommodating - I think they have got this one just right.

“A wonderful cottage in a wonderful part of the Scottish coastline!”
Reviewed July 18, 2011 for a stay in July 2011

Having watched the development of this 'little gem' online, we were all excited to see the finished product, it did not fail to impress. The cottage has everything needed to ensure a comfortable home from home.
The little extras included such things as a Welcome Food Pack, (no need to rush out to the shops), beach towels and good drying facilities for those wet suits, local ordinance survey maps and binoculars for dolphin spotting!
Clare and Steve the proud owners were easily accesible and helpful, sharing their local knowledge in order that their guests could take full advantage of the surrounding coastline.
Having two teenagers the WiFi and I Pod docking systems were a godsend, not that they had much time to use them!
I would recommend this cottage to all my friends and family, and we hope to go back ourselves next year.

This little cottage in the picturesque fishing village of Findochty is without doubt the best holiday home we have experienced in the area and we have been in many. It has been lovingly restored to a very high standard both in terms of decor and the quality of all amenities. The split level garden at the back allows for making the most of the long summer nights and the possibility of dolphin spotting.Thank you to our hosts, Clare and Steve who were so friendly and helpful and very kindly provided a generous welcome pack. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this holiday home and look forward ourselves to returning again in the near future.
