“Excellent B&B”
Reviewed June 8, 2012

Got picked up from Gairlochy after a long days walk. Great move from the owner! Stevie and Alan were most warm and welcoming hosts.
Good and tasteful decorated rooms and very clean. (3 in all) And a tasteful spacious lounge.
We were almost immediately offered a cup of tea and home baked cake and sat outside on the veranda and enjoyed the fantastic view over Ben Nevis. And it was so peaceful and quite. Here we filled out our wishes for breakfast, which was absolutely fantastic. Continental, fresh fruit, porridge, and fabulous cooked breakfast.
A place I most certainly can recommend to all walkers doing The Great Glen Way. As we walked from north to south it was a totally different view to be on the other side of the canal - and will most certainly do this again with another group of walkers.

As stated many times below Stevie and Alan made us feel most welcome and totally relaxed during our stay with nothing too much trouble.

Our room was very comfortable, and the breakfast is surely the best in Scotland!

This is the best B&B I have experienced by far and really is 4 star + hotel quality but with a unique and very personnel family B&B touch that Stevie and Alan deliver with such passion and commitment. Truely excellent and a perfect model for anyone wanting to set-up a B&B anywhere,

Five great nights, fantastic weather and great roads for our motorcycles! Just perfect.

Thanks so much Stevie & Alan for everything and hope to see you both again soon.

Somerset cider to follow!!!

Stevie and Alan were like family and made us feel most welcome and very special during our stay. We were welcomed with a pot of tea each, speciality cookies and cakes, as well as free run of their home and garden. I have never met such a likeable couple, who are clearly passionate about what they do without being stuffy. They are genuine 'people people' and clearly loved doing what they do.

Our room was warm and comfortable, and the breakfast was the best breakfast I have ever eaten...anywhere (including at home!).

The grounds and setting of this B&B are exquisite and Stevie & Alan are so lucky to live here, and we felt very privileged to be staying in such a beautiful place with such adorable hosts. We had early evening chats together over a glass of wine...they were never short of giving. Our only regret is that we had only booked for 1 night, heading to Skye the next day.

We will definitely be staying again, and would encourage anyone visiting this area to look no further than this wonderful B&B...you won't find better...anywhere else in the world!

Thanks so much Stevie & Alan. See you both again soon :)

We stayed at this B&B for one night before my wife walked the Caledonian Challange. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was pristene and the bedroom and bathroom were of a high standard. Once we unpacked we were treated to tea and cakes and sat on the raised deck adjacent to the house enjoying the views of Ben Nevis. I was even spoiled with a beer later on! We were up early next morning and the breakfast was excellent and generous, I had a grate fruit, cereal and a Full cooked breakfast whilst my wife had a brilliant fruit platter and full cooked breakfast. I would 100% recommend this B&B and would be more than happy to visit again. Great value at twice the price.

Tigh-a-Ghlinne and hosts Stevie and Alan gave us the best bed and breakfast stay of our trip! They were so warm and welcoming and cheerful and easy to talk to. My boyfriend and I had never stayed in a b+b before so we were a little nervous about how intimate it can be, but it was totally not awkward. Their house is BEAUTIFUL and it's in a fabulous location. A 10 minute drive from Ft. William on a long winding road. Fantastic view from our bedroom window. Our bedroom was lovely and comfortable, very clean. There is a living room for the guests to watch television. We met a few of the guests and they were super nice friendly chaps.

Stevie and Alan also provided us with tea (or coffee, whichever you prefer) and cookies and cakes when we came back after dinner. And the breakfast was phenomenal. I had the blueberry pancakes. My boyfriend had the Scottish breakfast. All was cooked perfectly and tasted awesome. I would definitely return to their b+b and will recommend it to anyone traveling in that area.

The hosts are so friendly, they cannot do enough for you. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean and the bathroom was fantastic. Our dog Tramp was made very welcome too. The food was brilliant with free range eggs (an added bonus), there is decking in the garden with a lovely lawn which stretches down to the Caledonian Canal. We cannot praise Steve and Alan enough. Can't wait to return (and we will).
