“Wonderful visit”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

As a couple other people have said, meeting israel and Sandra was like visiting family. We were expecting a formal tour, then coffee tasting, but instead we heard their wonderful stories and got a very informative, informal tour of the garden (I told Sandra I really loved gardening) and the farm. We also enjoyed being able to see all the different fruit and nut trees they grow. They are in the process of building an eco-lodge which we were able to see. The coffee is delicious, much more delicate than what we typically drink (which is all fair-trade, shade-grown, etc, etc.)

The scenery is stunning, too and the drive is gorgeous. Just be sure to take the right roads back down the mountain....we had a difficult time, driving down some very bad roads because we took a wrong turn. We ended up driving back to the farm, and Israel set us straight. It's now a very funny story! We did this trip in one day from San Juan; it's 21/2 hours each way. This day was one of the best ever in the four times we've been to Puerto Rico.

“The best experience ever!”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

It was our third time in coffee plantation, we visited one in Costa Rica and one in Panama, but this farm left the best memories. The owners are so friendly, they meet you in they own house and treat as family. The tour was very informative, the owner knows everything about coffee. Also, we saw lots of other kind of trees and flowers. They do private tours, we called in the morning and came after couple hours after the call for the tour. Our best suggestion if you have time go visit this farm or if planning chose this farm from all other ones, also nice view and perfect picture shots from the house balcony.

“Friendly Staff”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

My family and I always wanted to visit a coffee plantation. Our experience at Sandra Farms was amazing. Not only did we get to see and learn about the cultivation process but also felt welcome and part of the family. They welcomed us to their home where we experience a delicious cup of coffee and deserts. At the same time got to enjoy the beautiful mountain views from their balcony...

“Great time at Sandra Farms”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

While visiting Puerto Rico we wanted to visit a coffee plantation but we really didn’t want to go to a touristy place. When I called Sandra Farms we knew we wanted to visit it. It is a family owned coffee plantation. The owners, Sandra and Israel are very gracious hosts. They showed us their farm and invited us to taste some of their coffee. The mountain top where the farm is located is absolutely breathtaking. It is a two and a half hour drive from San Juan but it is definitely worth it. The drive is mainly freeway, only last half hour is country roads. We really liked our adventure; we saw Puerto Rican countryside, met great people, had wonderful coffee and visited a beautiful mountain top.
