This is the first time we have visited Northumberland and it certainly wont be the last!
The cottage is clean and cosy and was a perfect size for myself, husband and small dog, but it was the location we loved most of all. It is just approx. 15 minutes walk to the beautiful beach. The walk along the beach was listed in the Guardian as one the the UK's top ten walks, with walking left approx. a mile to the small village of Newton by Sea (You must visit The Ship Inn and have one of their home made brews but note serving food stops at 2pm for lunch) or 3 and a half miles the other way to the village of Craster with its renound smoked kippers, stopping off at Dunstanburgh Castle on the way. The beach is spotlessly clean and at this time of year very quiet and we have returned from our holiday relaxed and chilled.
