“Fantastic Stay!”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

We stayed at the Grovefield House this week for 1 night. The only reason we booked the hotel was because of a great offer they had on which included Afternoon Tea, Dinner and Breakfast. All I ca say is what a find. The food and service at dinner was second to none and altough dinner was included in our package it was worth more than the £30 they charge for a 3 course dinner in the restaurant,
We will definitely be going back to the Grovefield and Soon!
Thanks for a wonderful stay

I attended a business dinner last night. The chef has been ensconced for some time and he just grows in stature. A four course meal that was peerless. By the way the organiser, Paul Bolton, BSL Limited, is a legend and my friend.

We booked the "Romantic Package" at fairly short notice for my husband's birthday, choosing the hotel as the package was good value and it was not far to get to from home.

I was a little worried about the reviews which mentioned noisy wedding receptions so, as we were staying on a Saturday night, did request a quiet room.

We need not have worried. Yes there was a wedding reception (inevitable in early September) but it was confined to a function room and we did not hear the disco at all. The request for a quiet room had been followed and we enjoyed a relaxing evening with a very nice meal in the restaurant (despite there being only one other table of diners!). Breakfast was good and we were seated well away from the wedding guests who were busy enjoying time together to reminisce about the previous day, which was nice to see.

Maybe we were lucky with the style of the wedding which was going on but I would not let it put me off booking again.

Excellent staff and very clean rooms too.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room if there's a wedding

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights with dinner in the restaurant on the first evening. Everything about our stay was spot on! Friendly affable staff, spotlessly clean public areas and bedroom. Quiet room with a lovely comfy bed. Marks 10/10. Would definitely recommend as a peaceful base from which to explore Windsor, Marlow and surrounding areas. Only 1 mile or so from Cliveden.

Room Tip: 2nd floor bedrooms overlooking gardens seem very quiet.

I stayed here for a family wedding and I could not say a bad word about it. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the food for the wedding was awesome. There was also a barbecue in the evening. I'm not sure if this is something the hotel do regularly but either way, it was excellent. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. Breakfast in the morning was great, there was plenty on offer.

If you wanted to stay somewhere quiet and out of the way, I would come here but if you wished to be close to any towns or the city, I would rethink. Ideal location for a wedding in my opinion.

A group of us stayed at Grovefield House last Friday for one night prior to a wedding at Monkey Island the following day. The hotel is situated in a lovely area with beatiful grounds which were ideal for wedding photo's we had taken in the morning. The one thing that stood out for me was the exceptional customer service - there are very few other hotels that can compare with Grovefield on this front. The bedrooms were clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet too!

Just returned from a great night away at the Grovefield House Hotel after finding an amazing deal on their website. We paid £104 for the Jubilee Special offer which included afternoon tea, 3 course dinner, hotel room and full breakfast. The view from the room was beautiful and the service was very good but go there starving as the food is abundant, and for the money I can't think of anyway this could be beaten on value and service. What also made it memorable was as vegetarians the hotel went out of their way to provide more vege options something that other veges will know is quite unusual, normally you get one option and thats it but the hotel made sure we had a wide range of choice. A great night away and very relaxing thanks.
