“Dont bother with an executive room.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013

My son got married yesterday and over a year ago lots of rooms were reserved at this hotel for guests at the wedding The bridal suite was booked for the happy couple and executive rooms were booked both sets of parents. The bridal suite was given to the wrong people so they spent their wedding night in an ordinary room, very poor you only get married once and this was booked so long ago,My husband and I had an executive room (or that's what they call it) it had a dormer window with no view and the ceiling was so slanted that any one tall would bang their head if they got up in the dark. It was boiling hot,the toilet wouldn't flush properly and the lift was out of order so we had to keep climbing 4 flights of stairs. Certainly would not recommend this hotel.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your feedback.
We provide hotel rooms for a number of local wedding venues without hotel facilities, which I believe was the situation in the case of your Son’s wedding. I would first like to offer my sincerest apologies for the mix-up with the bridal suite. I believe it is the case that the suite was mistakenly taken by the parents of the bride upon their return to the hotel after the wedding reception, and that compensation was given in an attempt to resolve the situation. Of course, this has been reported internally and is being dealt with very seriously.
We take great pride in our executive rooms. From the description given, it seems you stayed in one of our Second Floor executive rooms. These rooms have been recently refurbished and offer upgraded facilities, modern décor and beautiful green views as well as air condition. However, your comments regarding the toilet and the temperature have been taken on board and will be actioned.
We can only offer our apologies in regards to the lift situation. Unfortunately it was undergoing some essential emergency maintenance, but of course our team did offer to help to assist in carrying luggage up the two flights of stairs to your room.
We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay, and thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. Please give me a ring and let me know if I can do anything else to help/assist you.
Yours truly,
Bekir Togus

Stayed here for an overnight break on a Saturday as it's close to Windsor and booked an executive room which was very comfortable, lovely bed & complimentary slippers & robe. Our only complaint was that it was soooo hot even with the window open - we had to leave the air con overnight to be able to sleep. Slightly disappointed in the lack of grounds around the hotel but the building itself is very nice.

Nice pool & jacuzzi but the gym is very small & more of a fitness room really. Luckily there were only 2 people using when I was there it so at least it wasn't crowded.

We had dinner in the restaurant & the food & service were excellent, and as a bonus there was a firework display (courtesy of a wedding party!) just outside the window. Breakfast was also included and, although it was buffet style (which I don't usually like), the food was hot & freshly prepared.

Nice hotel & well worth a visit especially if you're going to Windsor.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at the hotel, and had an opportunity to visit Windsor, which is only a short distance from Burnham Beeches.
We are pleased you enjoyed your sleep, and that you had a chance to enjoy our relaxing leisure facilities. As we are a relatively small hotel, the gym is kept simply with all the essentials in order to keep the leisure club as calm and relaxing as possible.
Being a Georgian style hotel we are conscious to ensure that the hotel is kept at a comfortable temperature during the winter months, in order to avoid the “cold manor house” reputation gained by many period properties. However, we have taken your comments on board and will look to adjust this as the long-awaited summer approaches!
We are very proud of our locally sourced, freshly prepared breakfast buffet [both continental and cooked breakfast], and so pleased to hear that you felt the same. Similarly, our Rosette Awarded fine dining restaurant is definitely worth sampling, and we are pleased you had the opportunity to do so.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the very near future.
Yours truly,
Bekir Togus

We have just had our Wedding at Burnham Beeches Hotel and it couldn't have gone better!!

The staff we outstanding, both during the lead up to the Wedding and on the day itself. We looked at multiple venues and this was by far the best as an all-round package. Both Wedding Planners (Leanne and Kate) were fantastic and took a real interest in exactly what we wanted from our day and made it happen.

The food was brilliant, as were the rooms. Everywhere in the hotel is clean and the decor always looks great. I would highly recommend the Hotel for any occasion!

Room Tip: Both sides of the hotel are excellent however the 'Executive' rooms are worth the small amou...

On first look the hotel grounds and building is beautiful. Reception area the same.
Until we arrived into our room, very small, dull and nothing like the photos.
The bed was incredibly small and springs were worn. The duvet only just covered the mattress edge to edge so we have to request an additional which they forgot to bring and we had to ask again a few hours later. Pillows also hard. We had a terrible nights sleep.
upon check out I was told that we had one of the older rooms that had not be upgraded as yet. If we had wanted a better room they have executive rooms at an additional cost.
I really feel that because we were on a special deal rate we were given the shabby room in the dark part of the hotel. Why else would they put any guests in a room that they know needs updating when hotel was not full.

Room Tip: Request newer part of hotel.

Thank you for your feedback. We value all guest feedback and will certainly take your comments on board. Our executive rooms are larger, and recently refurbished and as such have an upgrade charge, however we are also very proud of our Classic Rooms. These Classic Rooms will be receiving some more attention over the coming months, with new mattresses and general refurbishment. We do hope that you will return to the hotel to see the improvements.

My husband and I have just returned from Burnham Beeches on a two day break.
The staff were both friendly and attentive. Our room was delightful, warm and comfortable.
The bathroom clean and compact, with white company toiletries. We dined in the wood
panelled restaurant. The service tiptop! and the food delicious. At breakfast we were spoilt
for choice and again, staff polite and helpful.
Hotel is close to Windsor, Eton(tour of school amazing),and pretty Marlow. A walk through
Burnham Beeches wood was refreshing and picturesque with snow still around.
It has been freezing out and about, but we had a warm welcome on our return! Thankyou.

One Night Stopover which was thoroughly enjoyable,Check in swift and cheerful, rooms very well appointed,
Did not dine in hotel but if breakfast is any benchmark then i would suggest dinner/lunches are very high quality.
Not the cheapest hotel by any means but if it's good enough for the England Football Squad(it appears the FA use this hotel regularly) then it's good enough for me
Could not find a fault

Room Tip: I'd be surprised if there was a bad one!
