“Lovely surprise”
Reviewed May 4, 2014 via mobile

This was our first visit to Gurkha Kitchen and it definitely won't be our last.

We had the mix tandoori platter as a shared starter whichcame with 3 dips. For a shared started it didn't look like loads but it was actually the perfect amount.

It was great that you could specify whether you want mains to be mild, medium, hot or extra hot.

I confess that we are the uncouth diners who like to try each other food and my husband's main course was just as delicious as mine.

The staff don't try to rush you in any way and are friendly and helpful.

If I had to fault anything I'd say the background music is awful but I'm just being picky and thankfully its so low you can tune it out.

“Taste Sensation at Gurkha Kitchen”
Reviewed April 27, 2014

I recently visited for lunch on 26/04/2014 (Sat) and had a lovely meal. We dined as a family of four for lunch and the quality of service, atmosphere and food was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for the front of house staff who looked after our every need. We all had the starter of chicken tikka and it was a beautifully presented, bright and colourful dish - you may think that the portion size appears small, but the taste is immense and there was so much flavour in the meat. For the main course I recommend the Patia - it was a taste sensation! If you're feeling brave, and like your food spicy hot, ask for a roasted chilli to top it off! I have been several times here for lunch and have never been disappointed. Give it a try, it's great value for money for couples or families.

“Fantastic lunch!”
Reviewed April 22, 2014

I have tried the full menu which was great and decided to try out their new lunch deal.
The lamb Pudini was full of flavour and the lamb tender. My starter was chicken Tikka and this was also very tasty.
The other main dish was chicken Achari and it was also delicious.
Perfect portion size and unbeatable value.
We will be back again!

Reviewed April 16, 2014

Visited recently with friends and had a fantastic meal. Staff could not have been more attentive and were happy to explain all the dishes prior to ordering. Was keen to try the Nepalese dishes on the menu and we were not disappointed. Good sized portions and very, very tasty. A very good night out and definitely recommend. Try the Nepalese Super Dish with lamb ......... fantastic !
