“Konoba Bogo”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2014

Lovely place. When we came the place was crowded but when the staff saw us they brought out a table for us. It was brilliant. The staff was very polite and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing and the vine was really delicious. The prices are affordable and you get what you payed for if not even more. We got our dessert on the house. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. There was also music playing on the radio, but it wasn't too loud so you can easily talk to your friends or family or whoever you take there. The restaurant also has a few parking spaces so that is definitely a plus. Also, the reviews I read before were all about how good their pizza is. I must say, not only the pizza is good. I ate stuffed chicken and it was absolutely brilliant. All in all one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. :)

“Great food in Vrbanj”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2014

In the small town of Vrbanj you'll find this great restaurant. Basically known for its terrific fired pizzas. A must stop by if on Hvar and traveling throughout the little towns of Hvar.

“Good food away from the main towns”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2014

This restaurant came recommended and was well worth the visit although surprisingly more expensive than both the restaurants we visited in Jelsa - by just a little though. The service was excellent and the rural atmosphere only broken by the nearby church bells. Pizza was very good and the sea bass excellent washed down by a very good house red. The food was nicely presented. Highly recommended.

“Fantastic Pizzas”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2013

Bogo is located 3 miles inland from Stari Grad and Jelsa in Vrbanj. The konoba is located opposite the church before you get to the village centre. There is parking round the back of the konoba for many cars.

Although they do meat and fish, most come here for the huge pizzas which barely fit on the plates. Pizzas are thin crust and loaded with toppings. One pizza between two with a salad is ample for an evening meal. They do a brisk takeaway trade too. If you have any left over, ask for a box and you can take it home for later. Beer average priced.

There are only 2 waiters and they do a great job dashing around and are multilingual. You sit on huge wooden benches and tables under the trees and they bring a cushion to sit on. The only downside is being bitten around the ankles by insects so wear repellant. They are open all year but in the winter they move the tables indoors.

Open 7 days a week. Worth the trip.
