We stumbled upon this great spot onilne prior to our visit. The location looked perfect (situated on the ocean and minutes into town) and the rooms looked big and beautiful. Upon our arrival in late June 2011, we were blown away. The location was incredible, the rooms were more like large luxury apartments and there was more that we didn't find online. Barbati has some of the most incredible food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and some of the best service Croatia has to offer.
Barbati is a family run apartment that (from what we understood) is only open from April - September. Over the course of our stay we got to know the son who runs the hotel through the summer. He was unbelievably kind, courtesy and accommodating to all guests staying at Barbati. If there was ever a problem, he dealt with it personally and quickly.
The rooms were magnificent. Full in-suite kitchens, large gracious patios overlooking the ocean and beautiful, white furniture with extremely comfortable beds and well appointed bathrooms.
We checked out a number of hotels in Pag and without a doubt, Barbati came out on top. If you are going to Pag, Croatia, you owe it to yourself to spend at least a couple nights at Barbati. The food was to die for and the hospitality was second to none. Highly recommend.
