I am reviewing the restaurant of this pension rather than the accommodation. From the look of it, the restaurant catered to an outdoorsy clientele. While we were there 10-15 motor-cross riders roared all the way to the restaurant in their muddy suits. Several languages were spoken among them. There were also bike riders having lunch there and some of the other sports people were lodging there. But, I do not know anything about the conditions of the lodge.
Despite the German name, "Apfelhaus", there was no hint of anything German there. None spoke nor understood German and the menu was only in Rumanian. The waiter did not speak even a word of English. Since Rumanian language sounds like a salad of French, Portuguese and Italian, if you knew any of these languages, you could make an educated guess of what you were ordering and even expect to get it on your plate. But, all in all we had very tasty food on our table. They were very nicely presented too.
The lodge cum restaurant was in a very green area and the house was surrounded by apple trees. So after all, that name, "Apple house" suited the place.
From the look of the place, one would guess that the lodge would not be expensive. It was hard to communicate with the waiter to find out. Besides, he seemed overwhelmed by all the orders by the sports people there.
But, if you are in the area and in the mood for a light, and seemingly healthy meal, you probably should check this place out.
