“Best curry house!!”
Reviewed December 20, 2013

As a local I get to use this curry house on a regular basis and I have never been disappointed. The food is always top notch. The staff are always very friendly and eager to help. Great with kids as well. Highly recommended!!

“asian food, english style”
Reviewed December 12, 2013

We have visited here twice before and it is probably the best in the area, on saying that the other "indians" are a little disappointing. The service is good, very attentive, in fact tending to hover at times. Perhaps after spending a lot of time in India, we realise what good asian food should be and generally it's hard to find in in this area, perhaps we should travel further afield!

“Disappointed”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

We booked a birthday celebration here a couple of weeks in advance for 10 people all travelling approx 20 minutes from different directions to meet here. On arrival the doors were locked, 10 of us ended up standing in the pouring rain on the doorstep to be told that they couldn't cook that night as they had technical problems! These things do happen but it would have been good if they'd have informed us earlier in the day so we could have rearranged. Make sure you leave your contact number when booking as they said they didn't have a booking contact number! Would have been nice if they'd invited us in whist we tried to find somewhere else that could take us. Luckily the Simla in oswestry where really helpful and fitted us within 20 minutes.

“Great place for a celebration”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

This was our second visit, and we were not disappointed. Six of us were celebrating a family event, we were really well looked after, and the food - as at our previous visit - was excellent.

“Better suited for take-away service...”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

We ate here on Saturday evening as a group of 6 adults and had reservations-which are needed it seems. The business seems to draw a good crowd- either for lack of other choices in the area or for reputation. It was my first time here, sadly perhaps my last, as I cannot say the food was extraordinary or anything more special than anywhere else I've tried. What knocks the rating down for the business is the lack of service. I was impressed with how many recent awards the food/business has received and perhaps went with high expectations but when we had to chase down the staff for drinks and refills and then reminders as they forgot.. well, enough said. To have better and more attentive service (hire more staff!!) would have made the evening more pleasurable. They seem to have a very busy take away service and unfortunately the orders are brought from the kitchen and through the restaurant area to the front of the house which is a rude interruption whilst eating our meal and having conversation. It is a very small and intimate place inside and hence if you like the food... order it to go. Prices are fair and reasonable and the restaurant deserves to survive but needs work on customer attention. Also the coffee machine was broke..hmmm - or were we being pushed out the door due to the late hour?
