So I should not complain, really, since I paid 600 bht for a room including breakfast for two ( a nice buffett). But why don't they put some money into this old gal? Nakhon is BOOMING all over, and this is a seriously awesome piece of real estate. The views of the river are fantastic and the pool is lovely. But all the straight forward river view rooms are twin beds unless you go up to the top floor. The double bed rooms face south and are much less well situated. I have stayed in the deluxe rooms on the upper floors too, which are nice and big but I think I paid 1700 bht. And then there is the condition of the actual rooms- tiny ancient panasonic tvs (including in the expensive rooms), horrible fraying carpets, unpainted patches in the walls- and a kind of dingy smell and look to the place. Lumpy old beds, furniture that would be turned away at a second hand shop. I just don't get it. I must add that the staff were fabulous and the food is good. If the condition of the rooms does not mean as much to you as the view- save some $ and stay here- If you want a sharp and super clean room with no views for less- go to the SP in town. It's not on Trip Advisor but tuk tuk drivers will know where it is- on the same road as Tesco Lotus but closer to the river.
