After driving through the mountains and a walk through the Oropa sanctuary this little tratorria is one of many you'll come across. Not being sure if it was opened or not we roamed around a bit only for a lovely old lady to welcome us inside seconds later. We were a bit hesitant as we were the only ones inside, but soon after others joined us.
The plate of hot apertizers for starters was good, but I was less impressed by the polenta concia which is typical for Northern Italy. Lovely cheesy taste but a bit too much butter for me personally and HUGE portions, which may appeal to some though. Prices are fair and make sure you get a table outside or at the window as the mountain views are breathtaking.
