We had lunch with our 2 little children. The food was excellent: it is traditional local food, a mixture of Italian, Slovenian and Austrian cuisine, with a modern, international twist. Very nice family atmosphere and environment, you feel taken out in time in this little corner of the Italian Carso/Karst. It is also a good starting point to visit hystorical sites of World War I with its trenches. Many customers were from Austria, which confirms our feeling: it is well worth a detour or a purpose trip to come and eat here. They also have 8 rooms, all in traditional style if you wish to visit the surrounding area with more time in your hands or if you want to indulge in the superb tasting menu and do not feel like driving afterwords. Honestly priced for such quality. If you are around or land in Ronchi dei Legionari, Trieste Airport, it is just 30 mins away, well worth a visit.
