A wonderful few days on the Isle of Arran topped off with a visit to this fantastic restaurant. The restaurant is set in a picturesque village along way from the main town of Brodick, but this is to it's advantage as the stunning scenery on the drive to it is only topped by the amazing view from the restaurant of the sea. There was an excellent range of dishes on offer, something to suit everyone’s taste. The food was delicious (tried haggis for the very first time and will definitely be having it again!!) and very reasonably priced considering the food is all locally sourced, cooked fresh and very tasty.
Will definitely be visiting again on my next visit to Arran and can thoroughly recommend it as a must go to.

We always look forward to our visits to The Lighthouse. The owners Andy & Allison are a really nice couple who work very hard to make you feel welcome. Andy is a wonderful chef and Allison serves the tables with a nice smile and good chat!! The steak pie is second to none, the fish & chips amazing and the starters & desserts are delicious. We have never had a meal there which we could criticise in any way. Take your own booze - no corkage!!

A great restaurant as the food was fantastic and we enjoyed the view at the window for both evenings we went. Though not all tables have this view it is a small and friendly restaurant. The portion sizes were very good and if you order the meringue pudding it is a good one to share as it was huge! Taking your own wine saves on your total bill and they do not charge corkage! One we would definitely recommend to visit.

We live on The Isle of Arran and to us it's the only restaurant that merits a mention. The food is local and very fresh and the staff are friendly and very understanding to every ones needs. Most local people use this restaurant so that says it all. But people must be aware that it's not licensed so bring a bottle or two.The views from the restaurant are stunning overlooking Kintyre, and if you are lucky the sunsets are really magical at the right time of year.

We stayed the night at a B&B in Pirnmill as part of our walk on the Arran coastal path, and as we had no transport (buses to infrequent) the Lighthouse was the only option.
First the good points, when we called in to check that they had our resavation they were happy to put our bottle of wine in their cooler; The service was attentive and quick; The food reasonably priced and we enjoyed our meal; The restaurant was idealy situated for us.
But, when we go out for a meal we expect to feel a sence of occasion - we didn't, it was sparse and lacked any refinement. Also we felt a little rushed - as we ordered sweets (about 7:45pm) we were asked if we wanted coffee "before we turn the machine off". We felt as if they had had a long day and just wanted to finish.
In summary a nice well priced meal in a pleasant room - but not one I would drive any distance for.
