“What a treat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013

Well worth coming of the A9,to visit the true home of chocolate. There is a wonderful selection and the most amazing flavours and varieties of chocolate a true lovers paradise. It is not cheap but the taste and quality is outstanding. Also the samples just leaves you wanting more. The coffee shop is has a very pleasant setting, with a lovely outdoor seating area, enhanced today in the glorious Perthshire sunshine. Good value and well priced

I love chocolate so my partner and I had to visit on a recent trip to Perthshire. Beautiful little cafe, food was home cooked and really tasty. Wonderful little giftshop attached, you must try one of their chocolates!

“Best Chocolate Truffles in the Known Universe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

We popped in after back-to-back drama at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre to find this very well appointed chocolate factory/museum/cafe/gift shop. We didn't stop for a bite or drink but did buy some of the chocolates. Although very pricy the quality was just outstanding, very much an uncompromising ' you're getting what you pay for' approach to chocolate making. We sampled the truffles and were almost speechless with the intensity and unctuousness . I went into 'kid in a candy store' mode and spent a silly amount on what seems like 2 or 3 wee bags. A must visit for all who can spare at least 20 mins there and back off the A9. They have a website too so mail orders are in my future plans.

Thank you for your feedback, we're delighted you enjoyed our chocolates and we'll share your comments with the chocolatier team. All our chocolates are handmade with fresh Scottish cream, no additives or preservatives so it does make them a little bit more expensive> The flavour packed into them makes the taste linger longer! Hope that you will be back to see us again in the future, thanks for taking the time to review. Best wishes, Janice

“Dissappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013

I think the Highland Chocolatier must have taken holidays when we were visiting this establishment. The coffee shop was fine - the usual stuff available - nothing out of the ordinary. The Choc shop was - full of over-priced craft items, fluffy dolls and the like. I was expecting something a little more - chocolaty? Sadly this was not the case unless the video of chocolate making process was the intended high-light ? Sorry - I wad recommend a ride along the road to Kenmore for some great local food.

“Highland Chocolatier”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

My wife being a lover of all things chocolate just had to visit 'The Highland Chocolatier' - Scottish Chocolate Centre, when we were in the area. We found the small exhibition to be very informative and interesting. The adjoining gift shop was found to contain some very unusual gifts, a pleasant change from normal gift shops.
We visited the coffee shop and found the best 'Hot Chocolate' that we have ever tasted. The velvet truffles were unbelievable - absolute luxury!!
Well worth a visit when exploring Perthshire.
